I don't think that they did not care. I think that they did not know! (Perhaps if that had asked someone like me....) It is important to understand what symbolism means. Alas, we tend to think, be us black or white, that we all think alike. We do not. That does not mean one is better than the other. It means we are different. We must respect those differences and be aware of them. When we understand there is no conflict.

PS If you are looking for a "neutral" colour. The closest you will get is Green. It is the almost universal colour for growth, wealth, and fertility. Unfortunately it would not match with the other colours of the flag.

I really gets confused sometimes, about the way people think.

If we actually used our time on something more meaningfull than all this nonsens, and consentrated on some issues that would make a differense to all pepole in the Bahamas. That would be good.

I respect the bahamas and all, but i have to agree with ostrom on this, there are more important things to talk about than colors of the bahamian flag. ..

Why is it a case of discussing 'more important things', as if everyone agrees on what are 'more important things' in the first place, and then dismissing any other comments? This creates so much narrow-mindedness in society. Please don't tell me what is 'more important' for me to discuss. Exercising my democratic right to express an opinion (be it more or less important in your eyes) is my inalienable right!

I have sufficient intelligence of thought to show due regard for all aspects of discussion and do not just dwell on what other people regard as more important.
