Rory 11-18-05, - 05:50 PM It's Baath, not Bath. :dunce: :D lynette 11-18-05, - 07:18 PM He came to the realisation that the CDR didn't have a chance. Here it is, he's 60 years old, has no seat in the house - he nor his party - and he is not in the Senate. What is the man to do? He wants to contribute and I think that he should - in whichever party he chose. This only proves the point someone else mentioned on a different thread....politics is about power and nothing else. If BJ had the good of the people at heart and not only wanted power for himself, then he would have stayed on his own and stuck to HIS principles and the principles the CDR were based on and not abandoned them for the principles of the party he left because of their Principles (or lack thereof). He should want to be known and remembered for the good he did and wanted to do for 'the people' but now...well we will see what legacy he will leave. But it is our own faults....by the first time I voted, I knew that you should vote for the person who can do the best job for your constituency and not for a party. If everyone did this then all the parties would be forced to run better candidates and we all would be in better shape. Sadly, very few bahamians share this view!:realmad: canewry 11-18-05, - 07:21 PM It's confirmed. Dr. Bernard Nottage has retired from the CDR and rejoined the PLP. The announcement will be made at tonight's convention! :biggie: Did he retire, or just quit the CDR? canewry 11-18-05, - 07:24 PM Dr Nottage return must make uncle Fred mad as hell. There goe's his chance of being PLP leader and eventually Prime Minister. Poor fred! don't worry, Mr. Fred still has it chance...now is not the time to fight...he will do that when the space of leader is vacant...now it is occupied...there will be problems in the near future for the PLP... canewry 11-18-05, - 07:27 PM My feelings exactly....what about all those people who supported the CDR...the persons who spent their money and ran for seats...the people who campainged...the people who believed in that party and what it seemed to stand for. :titongue: Talk about going back to vomit! :titongue: It seems he will inherit the leadership of the PLP after all..he is following in the footsteps of Perry!:titongue: The only way, Bernard Nottage will become primeminister is if they do an Ingrahm in this country: that is Perry Christe becoming leader, stepping down after three years, and allowing the deputy to take charge...that's what Ingrahm trying to do with Symonnette... canewry 11-18-05, - 07:28 PM He came to the realisation that the CDR didn't have a chance. He wants to contribute and I think that he should - in whichever party he chose. One would call such persons: a stateman....that is being without a seat and a party... canewry 11-18-05, - 07:31 PM politics is about power and nothing else.
