Am suprised to see John Pinder cosying up to the pm and even with fred...after negoitiating for a sleazy $700:00 lump sum for the public servants then an additional $100:00 added to base salery beginning january.....man these people fulla sh!t....one could say under the FNM administration Hubert frequently gave them $1,200:00 in addition to a pay raise without union input..and look how all the suckers them all gathered around as cheer leaders.:bouncy: all the hard mouth he had...no wonder fred spoke of him the way he did:liar:
one thing I agree with is with the productivity clause, slackers will now pull up their socks, maybe this should be extended to include ministers of government

If productivity increases, quite possibly. Henry Ford proved it when he paid his workers double. The result, increased productivity among workers. Its called the efficiency wage model. If my boss is going to give me 60000 vs the 40000 I used to make, then I'm going to be motivated to work harder, cuz i know this 60000 aint gon last if I dont keep this job.

Rory government NEVER BROKE! You forget how much money they been talking bout they gat in reserve and sittin up in da central bank eh?
But in response to the initial thread, I do feel that John Pinder them get swing>:screw: Cause right after they list the salary increases over the five year term of the contract, there is a clause that reads" In the case of economic displacement, the Employer(Government) and the Union agrees thst any payments indicated in this Agreement may be DEFERRED after the appropriate consultations." what this means is that the goverment can wake up one morning and decide that they "broke", form a committe of their cronies and decide that they will delay(defer) the salary increases!
WE GET SWING!:what:
but we bahamians is always broke cause we bad money managers dread ...
the gov owes so much money now they never gonna get back on their feet, unless ofcourse they learn how to invest, properly (lottery also come to mind) .. i could have $1000 in reserve, but if i owe $10,000 and no income coming in, always buyin rum or $5 pros dread, den i gonna just keep slidin in the hole deeper ..
