ps: I never said THIS PLP was the party for the people. Although they are trying harder than the FNM did.MY personal belief is we havn't had a statesman in this country from the days of LO,Milo,Stevenson & the likes.

I'll agree with you there, those three (and others of their generation) were giants of Bahamian history. Though I'm sure people coming after us will see more clearly some of the honourable things our current leaders are doing or have done (FNM and PLP). It is hard to the ignore the bad when the wounds are still fresh, though.

Are you suggesting it is still an advantage to be White in the Bahamas? Rory might disagree! So might Brent before this is all over!!!;)

i would agree that there is still an advantage in some aspects BECAUSE look at the way our economy is structured... everyday bahamians white AND black have to kiss sum tourists *** (mostly white) so when it comes to people in power this same mentality usually transfers over

I guess we will have to wait a hundred years for the pain of the wounds to die down?

, some people in the bahamas just will never get past the thinking that every white bahamian comes from money. go down to long island and ill show you the broken down shack in the bush and the outhouse we used to use ..
Why go so far, I can show you that off Shirley street!

Man who cares if Brent is black or white, as a politican he's an idiot & indecisive. If yinna want to row over & vote for someone who's displayed the characteristics that he did over the past several years then *Carry On Smartly!*.And maybe people keep bringing up is color because so far he has shown NO Intestinal Fortitude but yet he's in the position to be DPM of this country.Maybe yinna need to focus on how did this happen. :bored:

interesting!
