Insulting a person for their opinion is immature and childish. The man made a comment regarding an incident and has that right.

The fact is, The PLP has done much more for the persons that need it than has The FNM. Early in The FNM's administration they chose to pass a law which repealed the immovable property act, an action which benefited the small minority who had large tracts of lands and hurt the masses who dreamed of owning their own homes. Early in The PLP's administration they started the Urban Renewal Project which benefited those in our society who most desperately needed help, the poor citizens in our urban communities. I don't feel that I need a Government to enact legislation to help me out, I do alright, but many people do. Many of the people on this forum are relatively well off, yet they are looking for Government to focus on their needs. I say that a Government should assist those who most need assistance first, then look after the others. The PLP has consistently shown that they care more about the masses than The FNM, that is why they deserve our vote, not because Hubert Ingraham screwed Tommy Turnquest. Tommy Turnquest is only one man, and not being FNM leader won't cause him to starve, but the policies of The FNM puts home ownership out of reach of the majority of Bahamians.

I am just so suspicious of this entire Ingraham deal. I know that there are many Bahamians like myself of humble beginnings who wanted him back but I am worried why so many persons made of money also want him back even more than us. It’s not like these persons are suffering like so many other Bahamians. It can’t be that they care so mush for the grass root persons of this country, if they did why not make a difference in the inner city assisting the youths and contributing something positive to there life’s. I believe that we all vote for the party of our choice base upon what we think they can do for us, but we don’t all contribute large sums of money to them getting in power. These persons are not going to be giving large amount of monies to Political parties with out looking for something in return or to have direct involvement in policy decisions. So as a young Bahamians I hope that we are not about to make the biggest mistake of our lives by bringing Mr. Ingraham back. You see I can still remember the bitter taste in my mouth leading up to the last election when it seem like a movement by God that the majority of Bahamians wanted nothing to do with him any longer. “WARNING” fellow Bahamians let’s take a deep breath, stand back and look again lest God give us over to our harden heart and the next five years following the election be the worst in our history. Put your hope in no man. Think about it.

Rt. Hon. Hubert A. Ingraham
Leader
Free National Movement
Nassau, Bahamas.

Dear Mr. Ingraham:

Following your historic election, it gives me great pleasure to extend to you my most sincere congratulations to you on your election to the leadership of the Free National Movement. Please accept my warmest wishes for the success of the mandate that has been entrusted to you.

For many years, you have worked without respite to assist our Bahamaland on the path of economic prosperity and peace. The fact that you were literally draft by many Bahamians to assume this responsibility signals the very great confidence your fellow citizens have in you. I salute your determination and your courage, which have been decisive in ensuring great success in our country epically during the period from 1992 to 2002.

I am fully confident that whenever the elections are called you would have prepared all Bahamians to consider what you have to offer and what they now have. I am certain that after careful consideration, Bahamians in a peaceful and determined manner would chose you and thus you will lead our country to even greater levels of successes.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Leadership of the Free National Movement. Many of us in the FNM who have always maintained an especially high regard for you now welcome your election, which has just taken place as an historic milestone for our party and thus the Bahamas as a whole.

I wish you good luck in the battle ahead.

Sincerely,

An Open Letter to The Honourable Allyson Gibson-Maynard Minister of Financial Services and Investment.

Dear Minister Gibson:

Yesterday, I was at a local popular bar with a few Bahamians, we were all listening to you on the Darrel Miller show. When you used the occasion to lie about someone telling you about Brent Symonette. Everyone at the restaurant heave a sigh with a deep sense of disappointment.

I was so embarrassed and felt so bad for you. You should have been there to hear some of the names that you and your family members were called. It was cheep and it was so unnecessary.

I am shock beyond imagination that in today’s Bahamas you are now for purely partisan political reasons choose to inject your racial biases against white Bahamians under the disguised of what you heard from someone else. You should be ashamed of yourself. You need to ask White Bahamians for forgiveness.

You are fully aware that many Bahamians label your family to your family’s displeasure as corrupt; aka the all for me baby crew.

Your party’s fear of the return of the Right Honourable Hubert A. Ingraham, MP, and a great Bahamian is making you say all kinds of hogwash. You and your PLP cronies are now fully afraid of the combination Ingraham and Symonette is an unbeatable team and that is all you and your party is fixated upon.

Please let us built our nation, black Bahamians and white Bahamians and stop this political demagoguery.

Hubert is back and this put the fear of God in Perry Christie and all of his Ministers. We already hear Perry Christie predicting and talking about death and cremation.

May God bless you and the PLP and also, the FMN and their team of Ingraham/Symonette in the battle ahead. As a Black Bahamian I look forward to a good fight, free of the race card.

Sincerely,

I am a young voter, and I will not support the FNM in the next elections, just for the simple facts that they brought back a washed-up politician, instead of a younger vibrant leader.
I think Ingraham did ok, but his time is over, I would condemn the PLP, if after Christie leaves, they don't promote someone from a younger generation for leader of that party.
But as I see it now, the PLP is the party for the youth, and respects the youth.
I personally heard Frank Watson say on Immediate Response with Darold Miller when asked about the potential in the youth in politics, he said, " Neither the FNM or the PLP has any vibrant youths that I think can handle the Leadership now or for quite some time, Ingraham is the only man who can do it now. The youth don't have it right now."
That was a slap in the face to every young person in this country.
I can't vote for that, and let's face it, all parties mess up at times, but the PLP has done alot in this term, they got my vote this election.

Well, I have been interested, in what I have seen posted.

However, for some, they were open minded even if they opposed to what I posted. But a number of you were very arrogant, and very abrupt, just like a lot of the arrogant FNM's like Brent Symonnette, son of UBP, Carl Bethel, Frank Watson, etc.

I will not allow my first time vote, let FNM arrogance creep back to power, under a new generation of leaders, I may vote for the FNM, but not this crew sorry.

As for the facts that I gave you, they are true, and Bahamians are being put first.

My "X" will go for the PLP, the lesser of the two evils.

Please keep it mature, we are all one.
How do you expect this person to be mature, when they dn't know the meaning of One Man One Vote.Because it seems to me that you can't have your own opinion around certain people on this board without being called dumb or stupid.I just hope this is not the type of persons the FNM have out campaining for them.

So I am assuming that the PLP has a better record in regards to youth being leaders of the party. And personally, I think house billing is a policy issue, either you bill more or less. When comparing both party, one should compare governance: i.e. social fortification, job and skill edification, general opportunity and nation building.
Your concept of they built more houses is a frivolous example, as it only benefits those who could afford to purchase a house. Now the PLP's urban renewal project is something to brag about...and thus far, that seems to be it!
If these are the qualifications you're looking for, I guess you def. will not be voting FNM or PLP then. :D
