The crown land thread below got me to thinking:

There are numerous tips for foreigners on how to buy land in the Bahamas, yet very little on local land procedures. Can anyone who has or is purchasing land direct me to some info. please?

I'm looking for things like property tax and forms, etc.
Do any of the local realtors advise Bahamian on land buying and what to look for?

its interesting that you say that. I wonder if they will give us any of the crownland just squandered in the name of foreign investment. I wonder what happened with the Bozine town situation?

You and me both, cause basically when something is pending or settled, people can't hear about it one way or the next. Between crown land, land in title "situations" and the fact that some Bahama Banks don't offer "out island" loans, it's all very frustrating really.
