The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and The World Bank are predicting that by the middle of this century (2050) China’s Economy will surpass that of the United States making it the largest and richest in the World.

Also, the World Tourism Organization is estimating that by 2020, there will be 100 Million Chinese tourist traveling around the world.

The Bahamas' relationship with China (both of them) has been steadily improving for about the last 15 to 20 years. China does not want Taiwan to gain international recognition and Taiwan wants United Nations support in breaking away from mainland China. I believe that this is the reason that both Chinas have been working so hard to woo The Bahamas, they have both given us multi million dollar gifts. They paid attention to what happened in South Africa and know that The Bahamas is listened to in international circles. The Bahamas was the first country to denounce apartheid in the UN, soon every country was shamed into doing the same. Now both China and Taiwan are looking at us for an ally, I just hope that our government can work with each without offending either.

Yes they produce alot of knock offs, prirated software and hardware, we struggle with this tremendously in the CCTV industry, mind you half the time their gear doesnt work properly anyway.

As for communist, do you know what it is like to live under a communist regime?? Wouldn't be on this forum posting your mind ... thats for sure.

Personally I deal with Taiwan and Korea ... china is only a player when we are looking for the cheapest gear.
