I read the other Bahamasair thread on the political forum and this topic came to mind. Since buddy passes have to do with Bahamasair operations, I decided to place it here instead.
The last time I travelled, I was notified that Bahamasair doesn't serve snacks and drinks anymore, but I keep running into people who fly "free" on Bahamasair becuase they're holding a buddy pass. They slip someone a couple of dollars to purchase them, at a lot less than the fare, and they're on the flight. (Note, this info comes from people who travel regularly).
So, what you you guys think?
If Bahamasair keeps selling these passes at below cost, then how do they expect to make any money in the first place?
Does anyone have any information about buddy passes that we should know?
