I have had the most terrible experience with our National flag carrier this week, I know most of us have our harrowing stories, on Friday June 20th I went to the airport at 8 am with the expectation that I would leave Nassau at least by 12 noon, although my flight was scheduled to leave at 10 am, but u know giving them some slack,I gave them until 12 noon, well updates were posted on the board that the flight would leave at 11 am and so on and so on and so on, well guess what :jawdroop:? u probably been there before, well I never had it this bad, but Bananasair oh sorry Bahamasair departed Nassau at 7 pm, yes 11 whole hrs later and
more than a full days work shift later is when the plane lifted off.
i was furious but more concerned for the tourist, because if u could not read the updates u would have been in a mess, not too many announcements, not too much concern for u and your missed appointments, not too much concern for the family that missed their loved one funeral,
Now I finally see why our national flag carrier operates in the red.
A $50 voucher was issued to the passengers in addition to that each person was able to go to the restaurant to get foods in the amount $10 or less, I got a popcorn and a soda, the cashier signed the airline ticket, now I know food is expensive at the airport, but I don't think that my snack was $10, my point the cashier would have signed the ticket if it was one chocolate bar,some passengers even got free tickets, after all of this falcon air was called in to take us over.
Should they sell it or shoot it? u tell me.
I love my country and I try to be patriotic at every chance that I can, but when I sat and saw American eagle leaving almost every hour on time boy I don;t know how long I can remain loyal, after so many nagative experiences like this, and watching the poor tourist sitting there looking like fools and being told 'IT IS NOT OUR FAULT THAT U MISSED YOUR CONECTING FLIGHT"
I think i will have to chuck patriotism now, I think i will fly with the eagle.
Enough is enough, the government needs to stop wasting money on it, just shoot it.:cry:
