simple,tobacco is mostly grown in north america and marijuana is mostly grown in caribbian lands,any fruits or vegetables grown in the caribbian lands are devalued until they put a Dole or chiquita sticker on it

Oh! No! Even getting high is now a racial thing? What about rum? It is mostly a Caribbean thing. So is sugar (from cane.) Bananas too! Could it be that Marijuana is a more powerful smoke than tobacco?

I think it should be legalized. That way its strength, quality, and content could be controlled - not to mention the tax revenue that would come from it. Is a couple of joints worse that a fifth of Rum? I have never tried it myself but I know many people that do indulge - don't we all know such people.
PS As for the color thing - most of the "smokers" of Mary Jane I know are White!!!!

you know that is a good question. i say legalize it for people with less than an ounce (or an onion as my guy says). The little people getting caught with roaches in their cars should be left alone- they een killling noone!
I personally dont indulge anymore- (it makes my head hurt), But being the consummate and eccentric woman I am I know how to roll a fat blunt. everone doesnt know how to do that- that takes skill!

I say, legalize it - no matter what the amount. If I drive home with a case of beer, and a case of wine in the car and I am stopped by the police - I am not busted! However, If I was drinking any of my "cargo," as I was driving, I should be busted. The same should hold true for "grass." But what one does in the privacy of ones own home one should not be subject to arrest.

We know some people are using the thing for medical purposes and I've heard that such product is controled and grown to a certain quality for that purpose. I think though if legalized and unregulated, it could be a bigger killer than cigarettes.

Its like choosing the lesser of two evils.

Even though nicottene cigarettes and marijuana are both addictive, the later is more powerful. That's why anyone who smokes it will defend it and tell you how great it is. Marijuana on the other hand does more on the brain. and consistent usage can do more damage in short term the cigarettes, like loss of coordination and difficulty thinking and problem solving. It also messes with your immune system. And there is also the thing about children born to such mothers....which makes me wonder about the hot-head youth we have to constantly deal with.

The US 'War on Drugs' bundles the heroin from Afganistan, the coke from Columbia, the acid from anywhere, and the new prescription type ecstacies / barbituates together with marijuana. They are all evil according to the religious right in the US.

I personally though that the new 'war on terror' would make room for the legalization of pot, but it seems that GW can fight wars on many fronts. Too bad he'll never win the war on drugs as long as there is demand for the products. The jury is still out on the war on terror

Marijuna has many of the same harmful elements in its smoke as cigarettes (i.e. tar, and cancer causing agents). It is also linked with forms of mental illness but I doubt if that has anything to do with it being illegal.

l must have smoked several pounds between the age of 20-28 years old, but now, I have no interest at 52, did give it up at 28

Reason being, drug testing in america.

Besides, as a business owner, i would not want any employess of mine getting high during lunch. Not a good idea.

Power lunches often involve a drink. Now, right, gonna light up a joint with customers prior to a luncheon...yeah right. It is just not acceptable yet in todays society.
