But it seems that in your wish list you have forgotten some very important facts, we facing a continuous cultural assault, and we are oblivious to it, I would say a better wish is that the New Year will bring about the harshest conditions to strip us of the illusion under which most of us live. You as a poet have a responsibility to dream the people’s dreams, to see the world that they see and feel, even that which they only speak about in whisper and articulate it. Thus as a poet you should call for the conditions to wake the people up from their comatose sleep.
