The case of the missing children has now come to a closure.
Today Cordell Farrington was charged in a Freeport court with the murders of Jamaal Robinson, 22, Mackinson Colas, 11, Junior Reme, 11, DeAngelo McKenzie, 13, and Desmond Rolle, 14.

Four minors were charged earlier this month with manslaughter in connection with the disappearance of 12 years old ; Jake Grant whose body is yet to be found.

This has been a confusing, frustrating and terribly sad 6 months for many Bahamians but now we can all thank God that it is over.

I would like to thank everyone who assisted in this campaign.

May God Bless you all.

This thread is now closed.

I really would like to know what has happened to these three boys. I agree more pressure needs to be applied. It's impossible for three boys to go missing without a trace in such a small community. Someone knows something! I feel if this goes unsolved this time around, whoever did it will try it again. Further more the media has gone too quite for my liking on this issue.

I am sorry to say this but I think they're dead. The reason for this is because they was missing for the past month and a half and no one has seen them either have a clue on where they would be.How is it possible that three kids can go missing one day and not a soul see.I think that's foolishness.Someone, even if it's a little girl or boy saw that individual toke those kids, i guess they're probably scared. If I was in the position their parents is in right now I wolud hope that my child is alright but I would have to look at the fact that he might be dead, but I wouldn't want to think like that. All I can say is My heart goes out to the parents and the family of those missing kids and I would also like to tell them be patient and have alot of faith because with God anything is possible. But what scares me the most is the same thing happen 22 years ago.I just hope this person is found and bought to justice because you can't do wrong and get away with it.They will always be in my prayers.

Thank you for the information on these boys. I have seen some news on the newspapers and more need to be said and DONE.

How can these boys go missing without a trace, we're in THE BAHAMAS for Heaven's sake? Is the situation getting so bad that 3 young boys can be missing for this long without A TRACE?

We hear of this type of trend in full swing in the USA; but HERE....

My heart goes out for those mothers and fathers and families

I promise to pray; I may not be able to assist in the investigation and searching; but this I can assist with, and that is PRAYING

Pray for results, Pray for their safe return

This Psalm comes to mind, PLEASE READ IT AND MEMORIZE IT:

Psalm 121 - The Bible - KIng James Version

1. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the parents of those precious boys. I am a mother with a son who just turned 13 and my heart would not let me imagine what these families are going through. First felt a sense of sadness and helplessness. Now I am sad and outright mad. I refuse to give up hope for finding them alive and in reasonably good health.

Perhaps another suggestion would be to contact John Walsh of America's Most Wanted. He is a long-time friend of the Bahamas and worked for the Promotion Board of the Bahamas when tragedy struck with his son Adam. I have worked on a production of America's Most Wanted right here in Nassau concerning the Philip White case. A Bahamian wanted for murder of an American visitor. Two months after airing the show, Philip White was located and brought back to Nassau from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. This is a true story. John Walsh is our friend and he might be able to help us. Someone of persons might have taken those children abroad. It's a long shot but someone somewhere might have a recollection of something.

Children are taken for all sorts of reasons - pornography, slavery or something of ill-intent.

Please, let's get these boys back. They are Bahamian and they belong to all of us. My love and prayers are with the families. Let's bring them home where they belong.

God keep them and give us all strength to keep searching.

P.S. Let's all e-mail America's Most Wanted to get this story out.

It is terrible, and hopefully they will find out what has happened soon. Unfortunately, adults and children go missing more often than you think in the bahamas, though, generally it ends up being from boat accidents while fishing etc, and is rarely publisized, like alot of things that happen in this little country.

Something triggered this horrible serial event in early May. Then every Friday after, a boy went missing, except the 23rd of May. There's clearly a pattern that is diturbed on the 23rd. One week certainly gives an individual time to leave and come back but not likely by plane. All of these boys live near the downtown area of Freeport, not a very quiet area and always very busy. I believe therefore, the perpetrator is someone who would not stand out, and who knows the area well, a Bahamian, probably a young adult male. In May of 2001 there were attacks, rapes and attempted murders on female joggers in the Bahamia area of Freeport. I believe the boys are still in the country and I pray that the worst has not happened but I fear the worst.

My prayers are with the boys and their families.

I would like to say a special thanks to the person or persons responsible for getting the story of these three missing boys posted on the website of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. This is a huge jump in the effort for finding these boys as this site has one of the largest databases of missing children in the world and is the most successful in such cases.

Click on the following links to see the posts:

Another good gesture would be to have their stories on the front page of the website but because there are so many children missing this can take some time.

To all who are helping in the effort: Never Give Up!

My heart goes out to the parents and families of these young boys. I can imagine just a tiny bit of what they are feeling when I remember how our younger son went missing in a U.K department store when he was a little boy. I took my eyes off him for just a second and he was gone! The feeling right down to my guts, my heart pounding, my head swimming – it was terrible. I rushed to a customer service counter, reported him missing and they made an announcement over the p.a. system. Within minutes he turned up safe and sound, but what an ordeal I’d been through!

Another scary incident was when I was travelling by ship to the U.K. with my husband and two small boys. I left my husband on deck with our older son and went below deck with our younger boy. When I came back up on deck, my husband was lying back in a deckchair with his eyes closed, feeling slightly sea sick and our older boy was nowhere to be seen! Again, that awful feeling of panic and physical agony. We rushed around the deck searching for our son and I looked out over the stern. Sharks were circling in the wake of the ship, looking for food waste, and for one terrible moment I imagined my little boy overboard, in that wake, being swallowed up by sharks!

Announcements were made over the p.a. system by the crew and a search was launched. Amazingly our six year old son had made his way on his own, down the stairs into the bowels of the ship to our cabin. He was found safe and sound! But again, another terrible experience.

I can only imagine what these parents must be feeling now as time goes on and on and their sons are not found.

Cvm’s suggestion to contact John Walsh is an excellent one. Has anyone followed up on this?

If this is a kidnapping situation, I wonder if the kidnapper might be someone from overseas who came to Freeport 22 years ago, kidnapped those boys who went missing then and then came back again, to kidnap again?

Or could the kidnapper be someone who was arrested on another charge 22 years ago and has been recently released from prison? Have the police looked into this?
