The other day I heard three big time PLP boys talking bout how they caused the Talk Show Host to get kicked off the Air because he called PM Christie a starger to the truth on the radio after his death penalty statement at a state funeral!

The bastids told me that they "told him to apologize on the AIR or they ger deal with him"!

Now, everyone know I don't take that kinda foolishness...I started to tell them all bout they ma and pa and ting! :sparky:

I could not believe my ears...so I asked a few people about the matter...none er them had any idea...so I begun to believe that "no governing party in they right mind" will do such a ting in this modern Bahamas.

Yet, lo and behold! the tribune say the man gone because he een say sorry!

Unless I woke up in the wrong country this morning, een we suppose to have freedom to express our opinions without worring bout this government coming after ya if they don't like what ya say!

He doesn't own any radio station, Wendall Jones is running a business, he can't afford that kind of stupidity out of his talk show hosts. Over half of the people in this country support The PLP, when Michael Pintard starts his own radio station he can alienate them and the advertisers who are trying to reach them.

Is it a fact or just rumour that Michael Pintard has been removed or suspended from Issues of the Day? I went to the Bahama Journal online when I read the other posts and his picture is no longer there....I think it used to be. Also there are links from the Journal to this site. I did not realize there is a connection...or is there? I feel like a :dunce:

If Mr Pintard called the Prime Minister a liar as a host of the show, he is definetly out of order. A host of a talk show really don't have no opinion.

If he did make a statement to that effect he ought to have apologize and move on. This is not a case of victimization. I have found Mr Jones to be a man of fairness and an excellent business man.

He will not jeopardize his reputation to cowtow to any politician. He has a unique ability to ask the hard and difficult question to his guest.

Just sunday pass he took the chairman of the PLP to task on many issues. Mr Jones don't give a damn whether you are a PLP or FNM, all he cares about is that you be a professional. Kudos to Mr Jones.

Christie Lied about his support of the capital punishment. The facts are clear for all to see. No a single person has a death entence (writh) read to them in the last 3.5 years. AND For him to get up at that furneal and say he support capital is told a big bold lie.

Michael Pintard should sue and his case would much more merit than that patty law suit that mudda pratt has against the PUNCH.

As I stated before I called that show, and when I referred to The FNM as Y'all he stated that he isn't on the show as a member of any political party he was just a host facilitating discussion. When I told him that if that were the case he wouldn't be so biased, he pointed out an instance where he criticized Carl Bethel for comments he made. I responded that the fact that he could remember the one time he criticized an FNM points out how seldom he must have done so.

PS. And the instance where he claimed to have criticize Carl Bethel he claims that he made him apologize on air for comments that he made. I guess he should have followed his own advice.

There is validity to what this man is saying we see the truth all day, and intelligent person can see that this Christie administration is up to no good and taking our country to the dogs with it. All we have to do is follow the paper trail...they are that messy, its not that hard to find out the truth.


Like I said earlier perry christie knew he was making misleading and untruthful statements at the officers funeral because he knew we havent heard back from the privy councill as yet on capital punishment matters and he coldnt even say what he believed he said a cleric said it and he agrees with that- "just passing information along" That was not only dishonest (lying) it ws also distasteful and de classe.

I think we are forgetting one minute but important point here,Mr Pintard was the host of a private radio station in the commomwealth of the Bahamas.

Mr Pintard has a professional responsibilty to be fair and balance, firstly.

Secondly, he is there to facilitate debate by the asking of questions to his guest and the general public.

Thirdly, as a host he really is not suppose to make statements for which he has been accused of making. A smart host ask smart questions and don't make personal statements.

If the truth comes out that Mr Pintard ask a question as oppose to making a statement then Mr Jones has to answer some questuions, but on the other hand if Mr Pintard made a statement to the effect that the Prime Minister is a liar then refuse to apologize, then he should be bid fairwell!
