A 50-year-old woman was reportedly arrested for phoning in a bomb threat to The Bahamas Consulate office in Miami on Wednesday.

According to a Miami Herald online publication, Maria Josefa Aria confessed to detectives that she had made the threat in a telephone call to the consulate.

Consul General Alma Adams said on Thursday that a then-unidentified woman called and said, "'We will put a bomb in the building today.'"

Ms Arias could be jailed for up to 15 years and fined up to $20,000 for issuing the threat, which is a second-degree felony.

which leads us to another question, is the Bahamian Law Enforcement Agencies equiped, trained, and prepared to deal with Terrorism if it should ever happen here in the Bahamas? Even though it hopefully will never ever happen here, it still should be on the minds of all law enforcement world wide. Anyone?

Well...it is a throw it in the air kind of security.
Have you ever seen the Bahamian guards at the embassy?
They are really mean and rude idiots "but probably effective"....

Dont know why....I want to cuss em sometimes, but cussin "so i have been told" gets you arrrested!

But, on top of that..they go all out for the U.S. embassy, but cant or refuse to get the proper "mean" security at our airports??
What a bunch of idiots....I wish all of them a bad day!:sparky:
Err:gi: ..change that, a GOOD day....because i dont want them to have perpetual bad days when I am traveling!
