Sorry Mr spy cam man......i didn't mean to offend you....my point is why whould the media go to great extent to publish the names of the officers in great details....isn't this some ethics issue?? when a suspect generally is arrested no matter how clear the evidence is against them, the media never gives the names untill a court appearence......shouldn't these officers be given the same courtesy untill their day before the relevant body.....:dgi: .... it seems as if it is close season on criminals and open season on police officers.... If some one slaps your head off one of these days or rapes your mother in front of you let me see who you are going to run to.....you can lead a fool to wisdom but you can't make him think.

For one no matter how clear the evidence is against someone the cops have no right to beat them. So just like in the US, Canada and other countries the public should be given information and the identity of the offending officers.

International pressure should be put on McDonnalds to put and end to GLBT bashing and homophobia in its restaurants and their suppliers.
You should not be in (or allowed in) the service industry or security if have issues with a type of person. Because sooner or later you will have to deal with them on a professional level and it could cause problems.

I agree that the officers' names could be placed in the news media as accused persons' names are published every day. I also agree that companies should be required to ensure that employees who are required to deal with the public should be able to carry out these duties without incident.

That said, I didn't get the impression that the restaurant was at fault here. The story has been presented from only one perspective and that is never a good thing. It just seems strange to me that a security guard would jeopardize his job without provocation in the manner that is being claimed. I would have thought that a security guard at McDonalds Marlborough Street would come into contact with openly gay individuals on several occasions daily. Don't commit yourself to an issue based on a single individuals' claims until you get the facts, take claims with a grain of salt.

Buddy all holmes need to know is that a person is so called GAY and they are immediately the victim.Nothing you can say or do will pacify them. Call me silly put I still dn't see how someone's sexuality comes into play when buying a hamburger.

Very well put. But McDonalds has to ensure the safety of their customers and employees. Unless the man attacked the security guard another customer or employee which he then has a right to defend himself and do his job. Other than that he is obligated to keep his hands to himself. McDonalds Also has the right and responsibility to make sure the people that work for them employee or contract will not have issues with people that are different.

oh wow vicky its cold in quebec dont go outside...how's everything going?

I brought Dad up so Mom and Dad could spend their anniversary together.
It is real cold out side this morning -17c. The other day it was -20c and a wind chill. My skin was stinging and only my eyes were exposed.
Things up here not to good for my Daddy we both brought the flu up here and he is still down. At 81 the flu hit him hard I wonder if they going to let him on the plane.

Other than that it’s an awesome trip. Up here I am seen as a woman and treated like a lady. Went to the salon to get my hair trimmed and colored. Had a great time with woman talk. 8 ladies they all fell in love with my hair. One of the ladies asked what did I do to keep my hair after I had 2 kids. As her pregnancy caused her to lose a lot of her hair. I did not have the heart to tell her that I have 2 daughters but can/could never get pregnant and give birth.
Also met my first true love from high school. If she did not have hers and I did not have mine we would rekindle the flame. My Mom and the neighbors that were visiting saw the chemistry. One was even teasing us. My gender expression made no difference not to my old girlfriend or the neighbors in the building. Those that know make no difference those that don’t see me as a woman.
At the end of the hall where my Mom is one lady is a strict kosher Jew from Germany. She lived through ww2; She survived because she was a natural blond. She can speak 9 languages. She even help save a few families from the Nazis.

Lets see now, for I am very much aware one cannot even "trust" some of The Police now a days, and I for one am very cautious of even the police, so there is a possiblitly he is telling the truth and there is a possiblilty the truth has been "extended" to get the paper sold.

If these events happend there will be eye witnesses whose stories should be on par with what the "gay" victim has reported to the paper.

Indeed very sad if true, for no one even a Gay man deserves to be attacked just because he is gay ( thats ridiculous )

Then on the other hand bring on the eye witnesses........
