...like brinks and wells fargo in the states with armed security guards...a safeguard for businesses against robberies and such...maybe that could hav prevented the life of Mr Carey being taken so suddenly. Maybe the gov't should provide the service at a low cost...we are small enough to ensure safety of Bahamians.

There are armoured trucks, but some business persons are to damn cheap to make use of their services............ also i often hear the police telling business persons that their services are also availale....i symphatize with the family.........but it is a fact that if you warn some one too much they will not heed, if it never happens to them...but one day it will...by te way i suspect this was done by someone who knew Mr Carey's routine and just was waiting for him, also this seemed to be a first time in experienced robber, because a seasoned robber whould not have acted this way..
you can lead a fool to wisdom but you can't make him think

Like lawabiding said, there are a few.

One in particular is named (quite appropriately) Armoured Car Services Ltd. - 328-3370

As for government providing the service...<insert raucous laugh here>...

The government's responsibility is to put the fear of the law into criminals' minds so that they would never dare to walk up to someone, shoot them and then walk away in broad daylight - This is why we have the police force and the judicial system.

Private businesses can request the presence of a police escort when making large deposits. I'm not absolutely certain of how this service works, but in these times, it's worth looking at.

The police force do escort but it is only for gov office, however police usually know the biz people in their area and i am sure if they request an escort the police in their community will assist them.
