why is everyone so hurt about mayaguana, after all of these years? i never saw any bahamians other than the 5354 living there actually investing in land beyond god's backside, so why is everyone suddenly so upset? mayaguana is beautiful country, with a beautiful harbour, and no bahamians ever bothered to visit. alla sudden, everyone mad. suck teeth.

I just hope and pray that all this development is not at the expense of Bahamian Heritage. EVERYTHANG IN WITH CHECKS AND BALANCES. I know the Bahamas is a goldmine but everytime I see or Hear stuff like this I feel Bahamians really don't know thier worth. As a Bahamian I just want to grab and hold onto everything but I just can't help but feel that the rug is being sold from underneath.
SOLUTION: Every Ocean Blooded Bahamian who can afford a NEW car should use said money to invest in the economy or BUY LAND, I plan to take my own advice :tup:

I was looking at that bahamar site and they got 1000 prime acres for pennie on the dollar...Perry Christie gave us a raw deal...he will pay...I hhope yall understand why I hate him so much.

Well something needs to happen in the southern Bahamas. I wish they were doing this in Long Island, then I can move home and actually use my engineering skills. Maybe ill debate going to Mayaguana some day. I mean I agree that the land is given to them for next to nothing but I am from the islands and most of the young people have to leave and go to Nassau, a place that I dont want to live... so where else???? Ent much choice after all hey unless you parents are fortunate enough to send you to school. If you decide to move back home right away, you probably will end up in Nassau AGAIN.... I think that needs to change and the Mayaguana Development is a start.

but they didnt have to let that land go for 200 an acre we can all agree to that...if they what have got at least 5K for that land I would be mnore understanding and even then, I wouldnt be pleased) and then for them to counter the offer with some 1500 a year in a charity fund for Mayaguanians...who are these people fooling...they sat around and scoped and waited like the unscrupulous guttersnipe folks that they are from November of 2004 for Perry to give them this deal and now their laughing all the way to the bank...but not for long...these foreignors have to understand that you have to do business right or we will tax you till the high heavens and make you "investment" a nightmare...I hate Perry Christie!

yes and the people over the hill willstill be poor still be without running water, electricity on their pissy mattress and holding their starve gut...with every deal that is made the Bahamas govt should ensure soem type of social project is implemented by these so called developers. and by the way I hate Perry Christie!
