Bahamians constructed those bleachers, they also owned them. And the ticket prices rose to those levels before Minister Wisdom ever led The Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture.

1) Those bleachers were constructed by Canadians.
2) I go to junkanoo every year and I buy tickets every year and I know for a fact since I buy the tickets that the prices rose the same year the bleachers were bought. I don't know if you turned a blind eye or a deaf ear at the time, but there were many complaints by the Bahamian community.

The first set of bleachers were constructed by Canadians 2002/2003 the subsequent years they were erected by Bahamians, I know because I worked on them.

I guess everyone forgets that the current PLP were voted in by Drug Dealers paying off the ghetto folks and promises to everyone else that they never intended to keep ..??

the 'drug dealers paying off of the ghetto folks'???? how on earth would you explain, then, the entire community of wealthy and white spanish wells going plp for ingraham, then? there are no simplistic answers here, ya know.

the more things change, the more they stay the same ... the only way that kingdom will come around here is when the bahamian INDIVIDUAL decides to step in from the sidelines and just DO something.

:walk:

PLP or FNM or BDP or flavour party of the month aside, nothing in this country will change until individual bahamians themselves decide that they have had enough ... and get their act in gear. just DO it. anything. read to a youngster, teach someone how to fish. or use a computer. or speak another language. but do something.

Ok then, you can not deny that the "first set of new bleachers" were constructed by Canadians and Mr Wisdom was in the ministry and he approved them. Also, you can not deny the fact that the tickets went up the minute the new bleachers arrived on Bay St which was during Mr Wisdom's leadership in the Ministry.

Yes the first ones were constructed by Canadians, yet people were critical even when the persons given the opportunity by the Minister were Bahamians. Some people are just critical of any person or organization they oppose. As far as ticket prices going up they went up from as much as $50.00 on rickety unsafe wooden bleachers to as much as $75.00 on much safer far more comfortable aluminium bleachers. Give the man some credit for seeing a need and going out there and getting something done to fill that need. Many people on here would say to give Brent Symonette a chance and he has never done anything but take from The Bahamian people

The aluminium bleachers may be safer but they ARE NOT comfortable, the wooden bleachers had a nice bounce to it which made junkanoo fun.

I have a question for you. Since you were the one who constructed the second set of bleachers, why didn't you build the first ones? Were you apart of the "critical" persons? I mean since the need was so great, I thought you would have jump all over it.

It's funny how you jumping on Brent Symonette like you been working around him for years. Do you know his resume back and front? I could say that Brent has done alot for the Montague Community out of election and in election time. Until you have documented a complete report of ALL of Brent Symonette's "tiefing" actions against the Bahamian people, I will see your words as bitter and spiteful and a way to defame his character online for the present governing party.

I did not construct the bleachers myself I was among over a hundred persons working on them so I cannot speak to the policy decisions of either The Minister or the company that erected the bleachers (and those bleachers also bounce). With regards Brent Symonette I never said he was a thief, I said that his father was crooked and that he more than likely is also. I also stated that he has a sense of entitlement. I am not bitter or spiteful Brent Symonette and The FNM are on the outside looking in and come election time they will continue to languish right there. This isn't like the past when Brent Symonette's father and The UBP created bogus legislation to take Bahamians' birth right away from them and deny them the right to vote.

No longer are bahamians required to be property owners in order to vote (good thing seeing that The FNM repealed the immovable properties act ensuring that many Bahamians will never own property)

No longer are persons with property in multiple constituencies allowed to vote in each of them (Brent Symonette would probably get 40 votes).

The FNM are finished and they have noone to blame but themselves. Bahamians saw the dirt that they did and punished them for it. We now have equality under the law and the old tricks that Sir Roland Symonette used to stay in power are no longer available to his son. Thank God for that, you get a vote next year just like I do, aren't you glad.

You are implying that his deeds are not good and you are attacking his character these are your words:

"Many people on here would say to give Brent Symonette a chance and he has never done anything but take from The Bahamian people". What you mean by take? You suggesting that he never gives but only takes. Also in this statement you never mentioned his father.

You can't judge a man based on what you think his father did. Suppose someone did that to you. Let's say (this is JUST a scenario people) your father was a rapist and a murderer, people could say "We can't trust De Redhead because his father use to rape and kill people so most likely he will do the same thing". Do you see how unfair that is to you? That's based on your deduction of Brent and his father. So, you trying to paint Brent Symonette already when you don't even have the right colours for the picture.

BTW this is purely your own opinion which I am sure you hold near and dear to your heart. I am sure many, many Bahamians are saying: The PLP is finished and they have noone to blame but themselves. Bahamians saw the dirt that they did in the past and continue to do today and they will be punish for it. I did a little paraphasing hope you don't mind.

Island gal you are right, but so is Rory. Drug dealers PURCHASED the last election during the 30 days before May 2, 2002.

Amen, Wintergrace! For a moment I thought De Redhead made a mistake and put FNM where PLP should have been. She is obviously a tunnel visioned PLP. Cant be like that these days my dear. You must study poliTRICKS carefully. The PLP has done FAR MORE crap than the FNM can ever do in its lifetime. Has the FNM ever caused this country to end up on the front pages of international dailies saying that its PM is a drug dealer? I think not! Dig up some history and stop being so blind!
