I sense you believe better than God but anyway. Almost sounds like Paul when he was Saul. Persecution mode.
Well, whatever they are, they took matters in their own hands. I don't see why you have such a hatery for Christians, yes their are some that claims to be Christians but are really not and you have to realize that and get on with your life. I have
I do not appreciate this comment, I am sorry that you were depressed but it's no one's fault, how dare you try to blame me or "people like me". You take control of your own thoughts, your own life and health. You are not the only one who feels treated badly it's up to the person to look past people's comments, think positively for themselves because no one will do it for you. Try this christian brain washing as a child. Being brought up where being different is condemed. Being taught to hate the very people you are. Having to live a lie in order just to live. Risking everything to free your self from the stigma of being different. You take out your stress on a thread mill!!! Not taking out my stress you must understand I am at peace with my self and Creator. I just will not allow people like you to keep telling others that their life is wrong because of a few verses taken out of context in a book you feel is the only word of God the Creator. The same book your your self can't live by.
See if you can grasp this Genesis 21:12-20. Ishmael is the start of Islam, Alah and God the Creator are 1 and the same.
See my comment above, no one made you do anything. You were not in prison, your Creator loves you and you let people control your feelings for Him? When you don't know anybetter you follow the road put before you.
Thank God someone was there for you. you can say that again.
Vicky, did you read this statement before you posted it? Don't you understand it
I think you understand what I am saying but you refuse to believe it. I believe you are taking a Jewish story and giving it a christian meaning used to create fear and hate.
We went over this so....I think you understand what I am saying but you refuse to believe it. See above
Nope, I am 100% certain the bible is 100% correct in ALL matter/issues of the past, present and future. But you on the other hand....But you can't live by it.
So, you know me now, you know my entire life for you to say that I don't live by this law?? Hmmm ok!!! You know me so well that you can judge me and tell me what I do? Not telling you to do anything not judging you on anything just humbly pointing out something to you. Can you sit back and find a post in this thread where I condem you or persecute you??? This is the last time I will say this: I NEVER told you how to live your life, I NEVER pointed out what is right or wrong in your life. I posted verses from the BIBLE which yes Jews wrote, they were only words FROM THE BIBLE about homosexuality, I will say again verses out of context and misintrprated. nothing esle, so for the last time if you feel like someone judging you then it's the Holy Spirit when you read those verses. If you say so
I only study the bible, if the others have the same laws even one it was from God Himself when He gave it to the Jews.

I am sure you need to believe that. Jews were not the only people on earth sorry.

God is the ultimate and sovereign judge for sin, here are a few verses which the bible has to say about homosexuality.
Leviticus 18:22
22 "Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin."
Leviticus 20:13
13 "The penalty for homosexual acts is death to both parties. They have committed a detestable act and are guilty of a capital offense."
Romans 1:26-27
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn't worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. The result was that their minds became dark and confused.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became utter fools instead.
23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people, or birds and animals and snakes.
24 So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies.
25 Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen.
26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.
27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved.
But there is hope....Jesus Christ.

VICKY DO YOU SEE ANY INTERPRETATION IN THIS POST????

Did I ever tell you or anyone on this forum that their lifestyle is wrong??? Did I ever post those words??? Can you answer me that!!!!

The same book your your self can't live by.

No, I am not perfect and I can't HOWEVER I do recognize them and I try that's all Christ wants from us, He knows our hearts.

Don't you understand it

No because you did not explain yourself well.

I believe you are taking a Jewish story and giving it a christian meaning used to create fear and hate.

Then, you are believing a lie by no means I am trying to create fear and hate, that's not me, not my personality, don't assume anything about me and stop prejudging me, do not generalize me with others.

Not telling you to do anything not judging you on anything just humbly pointing out something to you.

Matthew
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

BTW, I copied this from one of your post, all this qoting you doing and no kind of application, you doing the same thing you accused me of doing "pointing things out" Boi I tell ya!!!!!

I will say again verses out of context and misintrprated.

I never interpretate it sorry

Did I ever tell you or anyone on this forum that their lifestyle is wrong??? Did I ever post those words??? Can you answer me that!!!!You are the one using the Bible out of context to tell GLBT that their lives are wrong. Sorry if you don't like me pointing that out to you
No, I am not perfect and I can't HOWEVER I do recognize them and I try that's all Christ wants from us, He knows our hearts. Well said. God the Creator created everything to serve the Creator purpose, even GLBT.
No because you did not explain yourself well.
Then, you are believing a lie by no means I am trying to create fear and hate, that's not me, not my personality, don't assume anything about me and stop prejudging me, do not generalize me with others. Fair enough

Hey good point and now maybe you understand. But The differance is your using the Bible out of context to try and tell people how they should live their life. I however am simply puting it in context using the same Bible.

I never interpretate it sorry

Then who makes yadha mean homosexual sex when even the Jews say it is not so.

You condem me by using "his"
Not hurt not for a long time or should I say not hurt in a manner you think.
I have seen first hand what so called christian love does.
I have spoken to young people that have been thrown out of their homes at the age of 14 by their so called christian parents because they were gay. One of the ones was transgendered she told me of her life as a trade (prostitute) starting at the age of 15. Last I heard she is in Miami now. Mind you she had just turned 18 when she told me this but she said there are many out there 12 and up. Yes I hurt deeply. I head that 1 age 16 died of AIDS early this year. Yes I hurt.
I dealt with young woman over easter that wanted to end her and her baby sons life. (Don't ask I am not telling) We had lunch on Friday. CG I gave her the book you lent me "The Words In Red" She promised to bring it back.
Yes I hurt for all those that are scorned because of a religion that has taken the Bible out of context to create fear hate to justify murder and torture from the day the Bible was put together.
I hurt for those doing the scorning and for those that are scorned.

I have to chuckle to myself. Vicky, you need to calm down and relax. I am speaking to you directly and not the whole GLBT. Fair is Fair, you gave me the verses out of the bible referring to the sins of Sodom. I gave you the verses which the bible thinks about homosexuality and you almost gone crazy. Now, you blame me for taking the bible out of context when I never interpretate them, I simply wrote them out. This speaks volumes about you.

Hey good point and now maybe you understand.

Do you think I was born yesterday? I understood Matthew since I was 5. I caught you doing the same thing you accuse Christians of doing, now you playing smart, acting like you teaching somebody. But whatever makes you sleep at night.

But The differance is your using the Bible out of context to try and tell people how they should live their life.

How can I be putting the bible out of context when I never interpret the verses? You are basically don't know what to say so you are blaming me, the truth is right in front of you.

I however am simply puting it in context using the same Bible.

That's why I called you pastor Vicky in one post because you believe you have figured out the bible so well and you are so right and God is so wrong. The verses speak for themselve no one has to interpret them. Your context is different because your thought life is different.

Then who makes yadha mean homosexual sex when even the Jews say it is not so.

I never said yadha means homosexual sex, I said the men in Sodom and Gomarrah were homosexual because they were trying to have sex with the angels.

I was taught to respect others so if you are a she then a she you will be.

I have spoken to young people that have been thrown out of their homes at the age of 14 by their so called christian parents because they were gay. Listening to those stories are sad and makes you think. It is nice you took the time to listen to the hurting. Sometimes listening is healing in itself but you know that there are Christian Organizations that do not scorn but they welcome you for your situation. It's unfortunate that those men and women ran across hate in the church but not all are like this. I think people need to open their eyes and stop generalizing, I could put you in a box but I know you are a human with different thoughts and emotions.

I have to chuckle to myself. Vicky, you need to calm down and relax. I am speaking to you directly and not the whole GLBT. I am responding for GLBT Fair is Fair, you gave me the verses out of the bible referring to the sins of Sodom. I gave you the verses which the bible thinks about homosexuality and you almost gone crazy. Text can't show emotion I have yet to get crazy over this you just don't know me. Now, you blame me for taking the bible out of context when I never interpretate them, I simply wrote them out. This speaks volumes about you. You are taking Leviticus out of context when you do not include the last verse. Do you think we are all Isrealites and thw whole earth is mount Sinai??? Well I don't there for I am not subject to those laws nor is anyone else unless thet are Isrealits on Mount Sinai.
Do you think I was born yesterday? I understood Matthew since I was 5. I caught you doing the same thing you accuse Christians of doing, now you playing smart, acting like you teaching somebody. But whatever makes you sleep at night. I say again you wish to live by the OT enjoy your self. But unless you are living by all the OT with out exception then you have no room to point to those that dont live by any part of the OT . Think you need to study Matthew a bit more.
How can I be putting the bible out of context when I never interpret the verses? You are basically don't know what to say so you are blaming me, the truth is right in front of you.
That's why I called you pastor Vicky in one post because you believe you have figured out the bible so well and you are so right and God is so wrong. It is so simple the Creator is all powerful all knowing and eternal. Nothing exists that does not serve the Creators purpose. The verses speak for themselve no one has to interpret them. Your context is different because your thought life is different.
I never said yadha means homosexual sex, I said the men in Sodom and Gomarrah were homosexual because they were trying to have sex with the angels.

Ok then in the Jewish version of the Sodom and Gomorrah story please point out where the homosexuality is involved.

So you taking notes to report to the committee eh?

Text can't show emotion I have yet to get crazy over this you just don't know me.

Trust me, I sense emotion coming from you, I'm not blind. Our words do hold emotions either we speak it with our mouths or write/type it with our hands.

You are taking Leviticus out of context when you do not include the last verse. Do you think we are all Isrealites and thw whole earth is mount Sinai??? Well I don't there for I am not subject to those laws nor is anyone else unless thet are Isrealits on Mount Sinai.

Whatever, gives you peace and help you sleep at night.

I say again you wish to live by the OT enjoy your self. But unless you are living by all the OT with out exception then you have no room to point to those that dont live by any part of the OT .

I try to live by the bible and not just the parts that agree with me, if you want to turn this on me, the messenger, that's fine. But be mindful though.

Think you need to study Matthew a bit more.

I think we all do, no one has mastered the bible to this day, not even you.

ok so I went to the website and I saw the Jewish words and the English translation.

This is a part from the website you provided:

And they called unto Lot, and said unto him: 'Where are the men that came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.'

Behold now, I have two daughters that have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes; only unto these men do nothing; forasmuch as they are come under the shadow of my roof.'

I was thinking and maybe you can provide some thought

1) Why did the men (young and old) wanted the men to "know them"?
2) Why did Lot offer his daugthers that "have not known man"?
