my issue for today is this, the killing must stop.

People should be able to walk where they like, when they like

as long as they like, any time of the day or night, and any

place they would like to walk.

If the Bahamian People want to live in peace with each other,

thay must learn to love there neighbours as thamselfs.

For if you love your neighbours like yourself, then you will love

your Brothers and Sisters better then yourself, and with this kind

of love the Bahamas would become a real heaven on Earth.

One love, one God, and one Bahamas for all.

This past Sunday about 31 of my family members went to Clifton Beach next to the canal and was prepared to have a glorious time as part of a family reunion. Relatives came from Colorado, Connecticut and Syracuse, N>Y. to meet, greet and fellowship. This was the first time such a rejunion took place. The eldest family member is 75 yrs. old and the youngest was 6 mths. old. At around 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon the group gatjhered on our right decided to put jup speakers and blast the music full force. At about 1:30 p.m. a second group of all men and one woman came and set up on our left with speakers taller than most houses and just as wide. The ground literally shook. The music and lyrics were bad enough but then more young men came. Some with two alcholic beverages apiece and proceeded to openly smoke marajuana without any thought or care about others using the beach. The one lady involved proceeded to tell us that a police inspector said that this was their right to do once the speakers were turned towards the sea. Needless to say, my family packed up right away and left. It left such a sour taste and almost spoiled our up-to-that-point perfect reunion.

Something must be done immediately about these bullies and thoughless law breakers. Where can families go nowadays to have a quiet, fun day at the beach without putting themselves, young daughters and sons at risk?

More pressure must be brought to bear on this disgusting behaviour and we must preserve what little public beaches we have left. By the way, the garbage was shameful.

WE MUST DEMAND THAT THESE INFRACTIONS BE DEALT WITH IMMEDIATELY.
