the church is failing. crime goes up more every year & things are just getting worse. Why is this happening with so much churches and pastors here in The Bahamas and all over the world? Are they not able to change the wickedness of mankind? At least a little bit? I guess not!

You need to read about the history of the church to understand this pecular phenomena<abundance of churches along with high crime and wickedness> to gain an appreciation about the symbiotic relationship that exist between these cultural events. They are one in the same as far as I am concerned.

because the church is too busy preaching condemnation - and not love... as we have been admonised by god- that is why...

Is the church really failing or are we failing to hear the church? Also, do we really need the church to tell us what is right or wrong? Could it be that we are doing "wrong" because we choose to do wrong and no one stops us?
Remember, all evil needs to grow is for good men to do nothing

Dear whom it may concern,
I do agree with you, crime is everywhere and it does goes up year by year and things do get worse. There are many churches and pastors around, but the only thing you can do to save lives and bring them to Christ is if you preach and teach the word of God, but you can't put a gun to someone's head and tell them to stop crime because if you look at it, it's more like your comitting a crime as well so it's best you sit down and study more.

In the Bible we are told about spiritual bad People in high places, inside the Church, and I'm talking about People who are bad and dangerous.
I was once before a member of a Church in the Bahamas, and while I
was a good member they called me brother Lafleur. When I became a
bad member, like going to Church when I feel like, they called me Raster.
Let me just tell you about something a Brother told me once, he told me that if he was one of the ten Vergins, they all would have went in with the bridegroom to the marriage, because he would have help the five
foolish Virgins, to become wise like him. What I'm really trying to say is.
The Church is not failing us, we are failing the Church, we are failing our
Children, we are failing our neighbours, and we are failing ourselfs.
Jesus said take this wine and drink it, and as often as you do it you do it to remember me, but we drink grape juice. I still can remember the time when a Pastor and family when home from Church one Sunday, and while they were walking inside their house, another far away family was walking out of the house. they took the young man back inside the house, and they slapped him up and then they called the Cops. And these same People are still today head of the Church, and who put them there? You and I failed when we do the picking, and you and I failed when we do not let God do the picking.
The Church can't fail, the Church can't lie, and the Church can't die.
alkanah Lafleur.

Did that make the slightest bit of sense to anyone? I would like to know what he is trying to say.

I looked at this post early this morning. I was hoping that it was a dream.

Boy was I wrong! :D

The church is falling because the church is a lie. I am talking about the people in them and how they use the church.
Is there a church were they take the collection and find someone who is in need a church member or a poor person out side the church and give them the money? No most of the money is used to build these preachers big homes and buy them fancy cars.
How many of these churches are open so homeless people can have shelter?

Show me were in the Bible that Christ said to build Churches(the buildings) What would Christ do with the collections if he were here now? Would he build him self a big fancy home or buy an expensive car????
Would Christ build an elaborate church as you see them being built to day, or would he build homes for the poor.

One-day mankind will learn to love thy neighbor as them selves and to do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
How would you want to be treated if you were poor and homeless?
?

"The church is falling because the church is a lie. I am talking about the people in them and how they use the church." Vicky, you come right to the point don't you? I like that! Let me try to add my answers, not as a Buddhist, but as someone who has, at times, and still does, frequent a Church.

"Is there a church were they take the collection and find someone who is in need a church member or a poor person out side the church and give them the money?" Most use some of the money for the poor but is it enough? I doubt it. A lot does go, as you said to "......build these preachers big homes and buy them fancy cars."

How many of these churches are open so homeless people can have shelter?" Few!

"Show me were in the Bible that Christ said to build Churches(the buildings)" There is no such place but buildings are needed. It is no longer practical to meet in peoples homes, as it once was.

"What would Christ do with the collections if he were here now? Would he build him self a big fancy home or buy an expensive car????" No, he did not need such things.

"Would Christ build an elaborate church as you see them being built to day, or would he build homes for the poor." Probably neither! His message was to the spirit of man. Not so much the body. When our Souls are properly informed, WE build the houses for the poor.

"One-day mankind will learn to love thy neighbor as them selves and to do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." Let us hope so - how long do you think we will have to wait? And, where do we learn this kind of love?

"How would you want to be treated if you were poor and homeless?" I think the answer to that is obvious.

You have pointed out where the church has failed. Can you tell us what you would do to change it? Do you really think it will change or is it to political, to big, to change?
