Customer Service in the Bahamas is a rapidly dying art.

Banks are the biggest culprits. Customer Service in most financial institutions is non-existant. I am one who lets you know when I preceive you are giving me poor service. To my amazement, most persons defend their wrong doing instead of giving a simple apology.

Nowadays I am surprised and quite delighted when I receive quality service.

To all those who serve people be they TOURIST or BAHAMIANS keep in mind:

"It is no longer ok to just satisfy customers, you must delight them"

Unfortunately, most of the workers in the service industry haven't reached "satisfying" yet. This is a sad state.

exactly, we need more training in customer service. I worked in hotels in the UK, and also in the restaurant business in New York, we were constantly trained on how to treat customers ..

the customer is always right.
