That is if you see someone born blind or deaf as defected I see them as different but not defected. Ask someone born blind if they see it as a defect. They are taught its a defect but other than that they would think all the world is normally sightless....
its about what is normal to who.
Example you can't explain to someone born blind the color red there is no ground for perception. Just as someone blind can't explain what its like not to know the color red.
Just as you can't understand what it is to be transgender and I don't know what it is to be a single gender. I learned how to pretend to be male buts thats all it was pretend not matter how long or how well I did it...
The only people that truly understand transgender are transgender..

Um Vicky..lol...YOU were the one who suggested that persons born deaf, blind or with diabetes should not be castigated for wanting to "FIX" their situation if it can easily be "FIXED". Why would a person need to "FIX" something if its just a difference, and not a liability? I didnt make that point, YOU did remember?

That was asking wintergrace a question post 62
If its something simple to fix as you put it and the person wants to fix it so be it but they are not defected.
Gender dysphoria can't be fixed at this point and time there is only learning to live with it as best you can. Sometimes it requires SRS for the person to live as normal and happy a life as possible.
But 95% of the problem is not being gender dysphoric its other people that don't understand nor do they try to they just label you as gay. They treat you as less than human being as I have seen even on this forum.

It is a long time since I have seen such a moving and powerful film. What was so wonderful though was that, amongst evil, insensitivity and bigotry, there was the strength of family and family support and the sensitivity of those who had compassion. I loved the bikers' escort! It gave one hope in this world of cruelty and lack of understanding for anything or anyone who appears "different" from the norm, whatever that might be.

Glad you watced it.
The biker escort was awsome Gwen proved her honer as a human being in the store. The Bikes know what it is to be different and they honored her humanity.. The part when she asked her if she knew about water proof mascara. That was when the mom realized that her child was Gwen and not Eddie. I cried
All of what the gender counselor said is true...
And its a true story to boot.

I watch it. I was struck by how lost he was - and later how lost she was. There was no one to guide and direct Gwen through the dangers that ultimately claimed her life.

Indicates alot of confusion no matter what gender that person chooses.

Her mistake was the world we live in...oops but that would not be her mistake...
The cost was to high a price.
She should have told those involved in her life before they got to deeply involved, that way they could have said no thanks..... and moved on... That is the one thing that in important for TGs in this world. To give prospective partners the chance to say no.. Other than that the sex between her legs is her buisness...
