This goes to show the low these greedy "slakers" will go to stay where they can put their hands on peoples' money!
I have lost all sintilla of respect for Mr Bain. On Monday he was saying that there was no need for a re-election--he was up by 20 "ghost" points at that time and he had no intention in doing the right thing and step down or go for reelection. After the skull-duggrey of the "disappearing" ballot boxes...any fair minded person would have went back to the people.
But..nooooooooooooooooooo! He thought holding on to power was more better that honesty and fair play! Now, the way things have turned out...if it remains as he insisted on Monday...he ger get he azz kicked...now that he een even gat that one "ghost" point to depend on for his dear life anymore.
Now that he is tied with the young pitbull...he now wants to go back to the people...for re-election. He knows thats the only way he gat a hope in hell...and serious doubts there...a run-off will kill he azz. So now he wan do the right thing. WHO HE THINK HE FOOLIN...HE KNOW HE GONE LIKE THE WIND! Let it go ma brodda...let it go! Ya people een wan ya no more!
Chalk-up another cut azz for them PLP hanger-ons. No matter how they cheat...we have had enough of thier bull sh!t! One er them I fer Justice people said: That's a message to them PLP...next is they azz in the election! :cutie:
Come to think of it...them PLP union leaders got they azzes kicked when they went up for re-election ya know! Moss, the public service union man, Black and now Bain from them big unions! Is this a sign of things to come?:gi:
Hell, these people using the same tactics they used in 2002 to cut Hubert them azzes....I could still see Tommy them jumpin up and down holding they boongies from that serious kickin they got!
Do we have a union-opposition conspiracy going here? Me think so...:shhh:

Seriously he should have suceeded. With the entire administration in another direction, it would be like a PLP Prime Minister in an FNM Cabinet. And the voters will just sway away from Mr. Bain in a run-off, just to secure stability in the union.

I understand that Pat Bain has not agreed to a runoff with Mr. Colebrooke.Maybe he got some legal advice. What is the legal basis for a runoff election anyway, wrt the hotel union elections, or are we making it up as we go along?Maybe since the election was a draw, Mr. Bain gets to keep his title, just like Jermaine Taylor kept his title after a draw with Winky Wright last weekend, lol.

Why not...since it was a draw...done by the union members...an indictment against Mr Bain's administration... tell Mr. Bain he must go! That same union law does not give the president extra-post-termination days in office if he fails to re-take the union in an election! And he did not...those same laws required a majority to be re-elected! Which he did not get!
Any post arguments for or against each candidate are just "ad hoc" opinion of you and or I (people like you and I are making up as we go along, not the spirit and letter of union law...there is no union law governing this situation...as far as I know)! Thus, our arguments hindge on natural law...an approach in which Mr. Bain is bound to lose!
The real "apriori" fact here is that Mr. Bain does not have any constitutional mandate beyond his three years term...period! And union law clearly tells what must be done to re-gain the Presidentship! If he fails on both count, arguing natural law will be at best difficult...natural law (based on western norms) dictates that democratically elected leaders must have a majority consensus from the people! This Mr. Bain does not have...not by a long shot! You could say that in the up coming term, half wanted him and half did not...same thing for the other guy! So whom gets whom, is the question here.
So, whomever is advising him, had better be coming up with some long dollard...it is going to be a long cold day in court cases!
And in the mean time, the union's consitiution mandated that the VP takes over in absence or incapasitation of the president! This is fact in law!
Mr. Bain predency will run out...if it had not already done so...then he will no longer constitutionally be president at the end of his tenure! Remember that the union currently has a VP...it can fill the Constitutional post of Acting Prseident until this fiasco is solved.
And using the Winkey Wright comparison is disingeneous...the rule is that Winkey had to be beaten by majority for tranfer of title...so a draw had no bases in law for transfer of title to the challenger! Now if the law had said that if beaten to a draw, the title can change hands....the challenger had a case...but as such as the laws are...he had no claim...thus, the title remained with the current holder!
The difference between Mr Bain and Wright cases, Mr. Bain has no indefinite claim to the union presidency...ordinarilly, both must beat challengers by majority every time they come! But Taylor holds the title until someone beats him by a majority of points. That's where the "stuff" hits the fan for Bain...in case of a draw, he can't keep the title forever! At the end of the current presidency the title goes back into the "pot". The union law may not say what to do in this case...but it emphatically says what you cannot do...period!
Thus, the irony of it all is that in a case like this one, Mr. Bain can lose the presidency by draw, but the other guy can't win it by draw!
Consequently, at the constitutional end of Bain's presidency, the union has no president and the VP constitutionally becomes "guardian" until there is an election. Hence the need for a speedy solution---a run-off!:cutie:

You realy have little knowledge of inside those unions...like one person said: "you have no idea the full dealings within political circles unless ya be inside...nough said...Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! That all I am liberty to say!
But I could say this much...those FNM and PLP union members them cut Moss legs from under him for the foolishness he was doing not any political deal he made. Yes they hated him for singing the PLP government's tune when union members thought the PLP was being stupid and stingy!
Black cut and run from that cut azz he had comin from the women who he tried to throw out the union and the members who thought he was cosing up to the PLP too much, at the detriment of union members and he wanted more money for same work...he een step down...them teachers told him his days are finished! The PLP promised him that if them teachers booted him out...they ger make him director of education! When that een happened...they gave him one "made up" post where all he does is collect a salary! Black's azz was saved by the PLP from the people seeing another PLP union boy gettin cut down by his union members!
You got much to learn...if you look at all with the same lense...carry on smartly!:cutie:
