I lived in da States during the gulf war...and I specifically remember da NY papers reporting that Pappy Bush was wary of the horrible weapons Iraq had including poison gas...many of which were donated to Iraq by the US to combat Iran...the US's arch enemy at da time.

Although I may question the depth/strength/integrity of those beliefs

However....it is not the first time I’ve heard such violent “unchristian” like language in reference to gays and other things/people and then seen someone include in their post something like what you’ll find in Iomegas:

You're not asking a question, you're baiting in hopes of dragging religion into the discussion. At best, introducing religion would stagnate the discussion by it getting bogged down into a 'you religious bigot' vrs. 'you godless heathen' rhetoric. At worst, it'll allow for broad stroked whacks at any who hold religous beliefs: no catholic was protesting the gay cruise, no buddhist has stated anything less than neutral about sexuality in the bahamas, no Rasta has opined, etc. but the rush to attack religion would go full steam ahead anyway. The attack may, prima facia, seem solely against fundamentalist christians but are much more than that as shown by a lack of deliberately specifying attacks against fundamentalist opinions about sexuality. You may not have bashed anyones faith--yet-- but the attempt to set up a right situation for bashing is obvious.

I have not questioned you about the subject, but asserted an observation about what is obvious. The statements you have reacted to are not violent, but only strongly worded opinions: for the statements to be violent, they would have to advocate what harm has been done, or encourage what harm could be made. And so far, no one has sunk to the level of supporting hate based action. There may be lack of complete acceptance of gays, as shown on these boards, but none have endorsed violence.
