I'm sorry I do not agree with you and I am calling on the government to deny any new request for such communities

To each his own. Good luck.

He built the wall that runs alongside Collins Avenue, his namesake. It seperated the "culureds" from the "whiaets"

treasure cove phase 2 ... da next swamp ..

Treasure Cove phase 2 is a different developer than Treasure Cove. It is called Claridge Subdivision. The property is the site of the old marina, directly between Port New Providence and Treasure Cove.

You can still see remanants of the Collins wall running from shirley street to Bernards rd (I think). Formed the boundary between their property (the old dpt of Education on Shirley) and 'the rest'.....sad days really when that sort of thing was happening.

You make it sound like the Berlin wall! He built it to define his property and keep people from wandering over his extremely large back yard - and stealing his fruit! Just about every house in Nassau has a wall, hedge or fence to set the boundaries of the property. Collins just had a bigger yard! :)

Yes CG Im sure that was its original intention....the sad part is that because it was so extensive its symbolism became a separation of skin color wall. That's the sad part....it did become (in a way) a mini Berlin Wall but I emphasize my support for your contention that that was not its original purpose.

That was my prospective. We are talking about the same wall right?

Go behind that school at the bottom of Collins Avenue, up around Star Insurance building, you will see the wall.

the wall extends far...pieces are next to super wash on Ross corner and as far as Donald Davis school. Back in the day certain set of people were shoot at for attempting to cross the wall in order to go to the other side.
