Housing officials have received more than 8,000 applications for affordable homes in New Providence and over 3,000 such requests for homes in Grand Bahama, according to Housing Minister Neville Wisdom.

Maybe theu need a freeze on that. Perhaps they need to let some private developers get into the mix, since they want to do private/public partnerships on other stuff. Besides, when you care some of those houses, they are not to far apart if they are different pricces at all. And you cant just fill up these islands with public housing.
