I went to school with a few of them....I do not know what their mother feeds em, but they have brains poppng out of their tail ends. :hammer: Een feed em nothin....more like show them children...children tend to follow what the parent show is important in life! Mind...I did not say: 'WHAT THEY SAY IS IMPORTANT"...rather, what they show by their life...as important! :cutie: :cutie: :cutie: :cutie: :cutie: bahmaboy 07-03-06, - 06:09 AM People like Peter Blair should be celebrated, have streets named after them, and should be touring the country telling young people coming up how he did it and how they can reach their full potential also. Why do we only celebrate on a national level, politicians, athletes and preachers? Will he be honoured by The Queen? Has any outstanding student been honoured? I hope that Peter Blair will be in Parliament someday.I am sure he can help turn this country around. 12 play that would be a great thing, education is not pushed enough. there should be a global holiday called Geek Day or Scientist Day or something along that line to celebrate these type of people. these are the people that cure us from illness, find faster ways of doing things, they make the world safer for us. But what to we do to them, we ridicule them. being a book worm is not portrayed as a good thing, children see that a run away from educating themselves. rory- i didnt read the whole thread so i dont know if u retracted ur statement but i have to say i agree with tada. saying the afro looks stupid is insensitive and i have seen more and more black guys sporting the do. i personally like to keep my hair low. the afro is deeply rooted in black people, i know u may think i am exagerrating but to say the afro looks stupid is like saying being black or having black/brown skin is stupid or stupid lookin. i know u by all means do not think that being black is stupid or stupid looking but trust me people who dont know u will come to this conclusion, may even try to start sumtin wit ya but of course u will have ur tazer ready. Teniel 07-03-06, - 11:14 AM You gat issues woman. I absolutely agree with you on that. How in the hell did we go from this young man's stellar academic acheivments to his afro. Garnelleo made an innocent statement and Ms. Taffy here had to jump on the race bandwagon. Get off it already! Teniel 07-03-06, - 11:20 AM That whole Blair family is smart as heck. Nothing like a strict and disciplined academic environment to mold young men into such academic greatness. Environment people, that is an important part of this equation.
