This will be my last posting on this subject which seems to have caused such an unecessary furore amongst the 'idiot' fringe i.e. the ego-trippers, the profane and the 'back-lash':hammer: racists.
I was pleased to contact: Vicky, Island Gal, Tafadhali, Law and Order, Wintergrace and others who were genuinely concerned about our Bahamas.
My original intention as Chairperson of the Rock Sound Commonage Committee was to warn Bahamians and naive foreigners against unscrupulous so-called local "entrepreneurs" who would try to fraudulently 'sell' our heritage.
It was unfortunate that some 'yobs' chose to insult my island, my name and the English language - but during my teaching career I have learned to deal with urine-tailed petty boys. If you can't take the heat of the repartee, stay out of the debate, and stop weeping 'unfair!'
I have left a poem-parable in the 'Writers Corner - those who want to understand will understand; those with closed minds will never understand.

I never insulted you but as I read this post its obvious you are just like the ppl you describe: calling names and being insulting. For a principle of a school that is shameful behaviour - in my opinion anyway.

somehow I feel Mrs. Oldham that those who were suppose to get the message got it...they wont mess with Rock Sound anything anymore. please stay and continue the discussion, which has a long-term impact on bahamians' awareness of the closed-door meetings in nassau and freeport that are excluding them from key decisions as to their islands' futures. besides which, several of these urine-tailed petty boys (WHAT a colourful term!) here are set to permanent ignore for many of the rest of us. don't sweat the small stuff.

when the name-calling around here rises to a crescendo, just remember that for many of the pissant speechifiers making fools of themselves ... the bahamasissues forum remains their solitary social outlet. just consider the source.
