Well, here we are. Its Monday after the Fifty Cent / One Love concert, and nobody was killed, there were no robberies that we know of, and only one weapons violation.
Could it be that people are actually RESPONSIBLE and able to have a good time without resorting to violence? Are we able to put together concerts without the Christian Council "protecting" us?

I am the first to admit when I am wrong! I had hoped that the concert would go off without any trouble but I felt that there would be some disturbance. (there often is even at uncontroversial concerts.) It is gratifying to be wrong in this case. Well done concert goers. You are more civilized that many people give you credit for!

i guess we under estimated some of our people. I guess its because of the age limit. If much younger people were able to go I believe there would have been some altercation out there. But now when we look back at the days before the concert I ask, What was all the hype about! Some people was runin around acting like the devil was gonna invade that night, like there would be mass chaos in Nassau and that gangs would rule the streets. Soooooo blown out of proportion. Change in the Bahamas is like a child going to get a needle. You cry and holla and scream. But when you get the shot you hardly feel it and the doctor says "now that wasn't so bad was it" he puts a small band-aid on the area and sends you off. :bye:

I might be mistaken but didn't this mornings papers say that the whole thing was a flop?
Reasons being:
Rain, last minute crack-downs on age limits, late arrivals of performers, generator failure and lack of attendance?
Wonder why? :gi:
Seems to me, Delroy, that all the reasons you gave for it being a flop would be an excuse for truly unruly people to cause an altercation. But a flop or not it went of without any significant incidents. You must give them (the concert goes) credit for that.
Wonder why?
Perhaps there were not as many 50cent fans after all.

Hey Delroy! What ever happen at the other 50 cents concert held at Windsor Field? How many persons attended that christian concert? Was that a flop also or did they steal almost all of 50Cents and Trina fans?

To tell you the truth seeker, I don't go out that much :). I try my best to read the newspapers and whatever they say I hope for it to be factual. I must have missed that part about another concert.
And about the stealing fans:
I don't think that anyone with sense would have attended "Any" concert (Christian or Secular) in that type of rain and draft on Saturday. It was the type of weather that is almost guaranteed to make you sick.
Someone else here might be able to give you the 411 on that.

yes Delroy, it was a flop apparently with hundreds of teens having to stay outside after not being allowed to enter, probably age related. An d then there was the rain, though I heard alot of people still had fun.
I am also surprised that there was not much crime. As with any Bahamian gathering where rap or reggae exists there are normally stabbings and fights. And dont you others tell me otherwise, I run camera systems for a couple local nightclubs plus for years it has been like this, ive been in all c lubs over the last 15 years and seen it all.
Maybe the younger croud (as Im sure it wasnt older people) are better behaved now, plus the fact that it cost some hard earned cash to get in?
