View Full Version : PM Christie in flight scare
Alien 07-09-06, - 12:04 AM So said Hon. Cynthia Pratt
She has the idea....
But, she has to actually don some things to make sure sh*t does not happen to regular.
Which, I am afraid, she has not done!
Alien 07-09-06, - 12:05 AM But if you believe in the ''God of the bible'' things should happen for a purpose. So in a sense, providence has a role in everything...Things should not just happens.
You must remember that Mother Pratt and Christie are the two most 'religious' of the PLP bunch. Certainly they believe that God protected them from harm. What say you?
I say we are in this for ourselves.
Life and Death must come.
pharoah 07-09-06, - 12:09 AM Then it was not providence, premonition, pre-clearance or privatization.
Just a bad thing at a bad time....
Making the remark that it was providence, leads one to believe that in your mind they have dont so bad that they warrant death or near fatal conclusions.
And that is more than being an animal...it is sick.
:shhh:
You certainly dont believe the same God that Mother Pratt and Christie believe. They would tell you that their victory and politcal position is ordain of God. Perhaps they too have sick minds?
Here's a quote from Mother Pratt: "We thank God that all of us are still alive and there was no life lost at this point. You know what, that ambulance came at the right time," she said. "Let me congratulate the medical staff for the super job they did. I mean they were just on the ball. Dr Nottage was just commenting on the performance of the medical staff and I want to publicly thank them and the police officers.
and all the people who really came together to do what
they could to make life better for all of us out there."
Excerpts from the Nassau Guardian
P.S. Notice who she thanks.

I never said I did.

No, they have pretty stable minds. It is you who wishes for their death is sick....and not just wish for their death, but wish that it be a sign from God. How putrid can one be!?!

At least she has some class.... and did not wish for anyone's death.

She is a woma of God. But, back to my issues with you....
She never once wished death by God on anyone.
With all of your remarks...you not only hope for death, you want it to be a sign from the God's that their death is emminent and purposeful from the heavens.
That my freind is sick.
Teniel 07-09-06, - 11:32 AM Now if Mudder Pratt had been blown to Timbuktu and Perry Christie gone down with the fishes, who would have been next in line to lead the country?
chancellor 07-09-06, - 11:53 AM I'm afraid we dont have a line of succession in our constitution. I've never seen one.
My guess would be between either the Speaker of the House, President of the Senate, or Leader of the Opposition.
Alien 07-09-06, - 01:05 PM Now if Mudder Pratt had been blown to Timbuktu and Perry Christie gone down with the fishes, who would have been next in line to lead the country?
I did not want to bring that up, as it would most certainly bring out the worse in some of these folk.
They allready are looking from signs from the heavens to get rid of them...
They would enjoy cannod fodder to try extra hard to make sure the diabolical gets done.
But you raise a good patriotic question, even though it may result in flame bait.
:)
Tafadhali 07-09-06, - 01:22 PM Now if Mudder Pratt had been blown to Timbuktu and Perry Christie gone down with the fishes, who would have been next in line to lead the country?
I dont know...Timbuktu wouldnt have even after wanted her and we would have found his body in tact...good question Tenial I have to look at the Constitution...sad thing is I know who would be the American President But I dont know The Bahamian Chain of Command...you would think these instances would have made people straighten up and fly right...though sadly those whoa re suppose to get it never do...
I also noticed something...ZNS should have had eyewitness/breaking news on this event...live coverage anyone? and while their at a new CG machine would be great for their newscast...
and why did he rent services from Miami...don't we have Bahamians who can provide this service for him? Charter flight anyone...or the plane isnt pretty enough? What about the crop duster? How much did rental cost...has he always patronized Miami business for flight services? Talk about national pride...just shameful...

zns standing by for a hydraulic leak? this was no big deal, this was a story some editor pumped up so that they could sing the praises of the "new" airport. we can't get zns coverage for important issues most of the time, so i can't imagine them sending a crew to "cover" such a non-story.
i know that there are a few excellent bahamian charter services that fly prop planes (props to captain ed hanna), but i would love to learn of any bahamian charter services that fly jets. i only know of one bahamian guy who's a lilcensed jet pilot, but he flies for a specific company and they don't charter out.
bahamiangoddess 07-09-06, - 01:30 PM whos Bahamas Information Services?
B.I.S (Bahamas Information Services) is the Government Department responsible for the release of government news and information. It is attached to the Office of The Prime Minister. It is more or less like the media of the Government, but if you ask me, everybody want to be on t.v and radio so it hardly ever used efficiently.

maybe BIS should have its own channel and website? :bahamas: to always keep us informed of the goings on in govt and the like...maybe we could even ave daily press briefings to see how our money is spent and what good work he is actually doing....with a press representative and all...

i'm not saying that the pm wouldn't have been worried, but the plane started leaking brake fluid. when it happens in a car, the driver controls the auto's spin. when it happens in a plane, a pilot knows how to handle the situation, and more often than not foam is applied to the landing strip so as to avoid any friction sparks. had ZNS made a big deal of it, everyone would be laughing at them for making drama out of not so much. can't win, not with this story.
