Delroy 10-04-03, - 05:29 PM Let me add aquote form Christ here.
“In my Fathers house there are many mansions”
Do you think Christ is trying to say how big heaven is??
Or would Christ be referring to many different kinds of mansions???
The road to heaven is very narrow but do you really think it’s the same path for all mankind??
I feel the reason there are many mansions was a way that Christ described heaven to be accepting of many type of souls/people what ever we are after death.
That is a lie!
There is only one door to the Kingdom and only One Way;
Jesus Christ.
Christ went to prepare a new heaven for His children.

The Creator made us all individual not even identical twins are he same. There for the road is as individual as you are. Another words your road to heaven.
I think Jesus, when he said, "In my Fathers house there are many mansions." he was simple trying to say that there is a lot of "room" there. Allowing in, as you said, many kinds of peoples.
The Christians say that there are not many roads going "up" to heaven. There is only one, and it comes down from heaven. They interpret that to mean it is "their" road that the Christ made by his death on the cross. It is a narrow road. That is their imagery and I respect it. However, I believe that there is indeed one road. It is indeed coming down from heaven but it as wide as the universe. On this road are many, well worn, paths that have been left for us to follow. You may take a different path than I but we are all on the same road.

I believe that we are all not on the same road CG.
For if we were; we would all see the same things.
This would mean that wrong and right will be on the same path.
That to me would not make any sense in this world and the one after.
If that was so; why do we have prisons? Why is there a wrong or right in this world?
But you being a Buddist, I can understand you believing that.

Well Delroy the Creator I pray to, is one that knows what He/She created even the other religions. My Creator is 1 of love and you will never change my mind on that 1. Sorry CG on this one my mind is made up and nothing will change it.
If the Creator would condemn all those other people/souls to hell because they pray to Buddha Ala or what ever name they give to the Creator, I would turn my back on the Creator. If Christ him self stood in front of me and said this is how it is I would turn my back. Yes if this thought will send me to hell then so be it.
Delroy there is no way you can convince me that the Creator would do such a thing.
How about all the humans that never knew Christ???
I believe that we are all not on the same road CG.

I am not sure what you mean by the "same thing." If you mean Jesus, then you are mistaking the messenger for the message. But it may surprise you to know that Buddhist admire Jesus as well.
If by "same thing" you mean evil then yes, we do see the same thing. Evil men are not on the path. They don't want to be. They have no love for peace. No want of brotherhood and obviously no respect for others! Buddhism condemns that behavior as well. We have a code of ethics that pre-dates yours!
We have prisons to house those who have violated the laws of man. (In Buddhist and Christian countries.)
Why is there wrong or right in the world? Look at the avatar to the left of this page. It is called the Yin and Yang. It is not really a Buddhist thing. It is Taoist. It has two areas, white and black. To opposite colors. They can stand for; up and down, male and female, light and darkness or whatever two opposite things you can imagine. For the sake of this argument let us use the most common one - good and evil.
There are opposites in this world. You can't have light without shadow or you would see nothing. You can't have good without evil, that is just the way it is. Even in heaven, the seat of the Christian's hope, evil was there in the form of the devil. He and God spoke often! I am sure you know the book of Job. That does not mean that we should accept evil - no, we must fight it and our tool is the "good" - be us, Christian, Buddhist, or..............
One more thing about the Yin & Yang. Look closely! Within the white area there is a spot of black and in the black area a spot of white. Each opposite carries within itself a bit of the "other."
You have your images, I have mine. Who is to say that mine are wrong and yours are right? We must look to the "fruit!" If a tree, Buddhist, or Christian, stands and produces good fruit let it stand! Who can say from where its roots are fed?

To me this is a more accurate representation of the Creator. (Knew it to be was red and blue as in the Korean flag.) But I don’t care about the color.
With out negative you cannot prove positive. For me that is why the Creator made the devil.
The Creator made night and day but there is a time when the sun has set but there is still light and in the morning before the sunrise there is still darkness.
The dot is important.
In every man there is woman and in every woman there is man. In some humans the twilight is stronger than the day or night.

Thanks for your reply Vicky. You wrote, regarding the yin & yang, "To me this is a more accurate representation of the Creator. (Knew it to be red and blue as in the Korean flag.) But I don't care about the color."
Let us suppose that you did care about the color and I cared about the black and white. You and I would fight and fight over the colors and we would lose the real meaning of the yin & yang. Neither of us would win but both would think we did and we would go away thinking the colors were the THING. Silly! Right? Then why must we ( "we" collectively speaking) fight over the essence of God? Are we not in danger of losing more than we gain?

You are so right CG 95 percent of all religions say the same thing but in different words. The Creator has made it very simple for those of us that really look. Its mankind that has complicated the Creators message.
I shall repeat my self here.
Love the Creator with all thy heart and love thy neighbor as thy self.
I know it is Christian based but its the 1 I like.
So simple a concept. Like John Lennon song Imagine.
Will we ever see it I don’t know and that’s a sad thing to think about?
Delroy 10-04-03, - 10:29 PM I am not sure what you mean by the "same thing." If you mean Jesus, then you are mistaking the messenger for the message. But it may surprise you to know that Buddhist admire Jesus as well.
When I said that “we would all see the same things” I was speaking of noting more than that. Of course if we both walk the same road we will see the same things. Many people admire Jesus but Christ never asked to be admired by men. God wants to be worshiped!
If I choose to only admire Jesus then I am placing Him on the same level as any man.
If by "same thing" you mean evil then yes, we do see the same thing. Evil men are not on the path. They don't want to be. They have no love for peace. No want of brotherhood and obviously no respect for others! Buddhism condemns that behavior as well. We have a code of ethics that pre-dates yours!
The sword predates the gun! Which one will you use in war today?
You said: “On this road are many, well worn, paths that have been left for us to follow. You may take a different path than I but we are all on the same road.”
You said “ALL”. All is all (bad and good) going to one destination.
We have prisons to house those who have violated the laws of man. (In Buddhist and Christian countries.)
Where does Budda say that the laws of man originated?

Not so!
It is the shadow that needs the light. Light can exist without shadows.
Here are some shadowless lamps that are in use now in many hospitals around the world for Surgical purposes: Click Here (http://narang.com/ceilingotlights.html)
If my body doesn't get any light I would die. I my body doesn't get any darkness what happens?
The Devil was not created by God; Lucifer was!
Lucifer gave birth to sin and became Satan. That is why he is called “The Father of Sin”. Sin was none existent in heaven until Satan conceived it. Read Isaiah 14
He and God spoke often! I am sure you know the book of Job.
That is God proving that His love is forever. He not like us who will not speak to those who have done us wrong.
One more thing about the Yin & Yang. Look closely! Within the white area there is a spot of black and in the black area a spot of white. Each opposite carries within itself a bit of the "other."

I don't know about Buddhism but my Bible tells me from where my roots are fed. It is fed on the Living Water (Jesus).
I am not left to question whether another belief is true or not. My Bible makes this quite clear. Two trees cannot bare the same fruit.
The Yin & Yang means noting much to me.
In my faith I am made spotless because of Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. Though I may fall down a few times and become dirty again He is right there to wash me clean again.
Vicky 10-04-03, - 10:31 PM CG hit the nail harder more sparks we need more sparks.
Delroy 10-04-03, - 10:37 PM Ok Delroy
If the Bible says you should do something and you don't are you wrong or right??
If the Bible says you should not do something and you do it are you right or worng???
If you understand the Bible you will know wrong and right.
Get to the point.
