Delroy 09-18-03, - 03:16 PM I'll answer half the question and let Delroy answer the other half for me. My disorder...Think "Babel."
This is my disorder. I am NOT clear. I am not pure. Because of some of my experiences and acts, I am tainted and need a physician and not just anyone will do.
If I left it at that, would you be able to understand OUR disorder?
"Let the week say I am strong and let the poor say I am rich."
If you are not clear you need to speak clarity into your life.
If you are not pure you need speak purity into your life.
o3parietal 09-18-03, - 03:22 PM Do not be sorry for what you say dacy2003 perhaps because of your physical mind or condition you are unable to receive the wisdom or knowledge a person like o3parietal with his shell removed could see. Although you received a physical explanation on the website recommended by o3parietal, perhaps the meaning/message was spiritual and because you are trying to discern with a physical eye the message may be lost to you. You have to look within yourself/soul and remove the scales from your eyes/perception to understand the meaning. What you believe should not be believed. Although our eyes are open we are still not fully cognizant of what we are actually seeing. Metaphysics? Mumbo Jumbo? Perhaps one in the same.
For the most part, I agree Truthseeker, though I believe they are entitled to believe whatever they wish.
There was a man who walked this earth dressed in camel skins, never combed his hair, brushed his teeth or wore deodorant. He had "the runs" (a majority of the time) from eating honey and wild locusts. Yet, no greater man was born of both man and woman. The record of this man, I have noticed, is seldom used as an example of what a Christian should be...I've noticed that the "rich, powerful and patriarchs" of The Bible are often cited before he is as an example. Why? When Christ Himself spoke of him so highly. Why?
There was a Man who walked this earth, that Yohann bar Zachariah prepared the way for. He spoke to 5000 plus people, in the open air, without a microphone. Has the power of this Man's voice been taken into consideration? Reconsider this. The majority of the religious leaders today (even when inside the tombs we call temples) use microphones to amplify their voice. Consider that.
dacy2003 09-18-03, - 03:25 PM WOW, can you be any more confusing... :uh:

And if I could do that, then I wouldn't need The Utmost. Now, why, for the life of me Delroy, would I take the words given to me to say and change them for you.
Didn't Moses do that? Have you already forgotten what happened to him for striking the rock (a slap in the face)? His loss, my gain. To the people I speak WITH (not TO) I am quite clear.
I do not follow Moses- I am not a Rastafarian.
I do not follow Solomon- I am not a Mason.
I do not follow David- I am not Davidian.
I follow Yeshua bar Yoseph- I am me. If that is not clear enough for anyone here. Look harder.

Actually Parietal,
The areas where Christ chose to preach to those 5000 plus people provided excellent amplifiers for His voice. He preached in valleys surrounded by mountains that echoed His voice. So in modern terms it was the equivalent of having a microphone.
Are there any mountains in the Bahamas?

"even inside..." <<Which is why I made note of that in brackets.
Study acoustics and tell me in which situation sound would resonate better.
Inside, with small space and enclosed area or Outside, large space, semi-enclosed area.
Christ didn't need a microphone, neither did His disciples. Their Voice (notice: singular) was powered by Something non-generated.
Why do the majority of the religious leaders who claim to speak of Christ and His divinity use microphones? Consider.
P.S. This is my last off-topic post.
dacy2003 09-18-03, - 03:37 PM Good (Praise YOU Jesus!)

Nuff said!
I am convinced now.
o3parietal 09-18-03, - 03:43 PM Are there any mountains in the Bahamas? Alvernia. (sp*)
Where I'm at now has mountains. It's actually very similar to Judea in geography. I've tried speaking as loud as I can in similar areas. Doesn't work.

Maybe because you need an audience? :D
OH!
You need JESUS, the greatest of them all!
Boy is I could just suck my teeth, I'll do that...03 I know that there is non righteous according to the HOLY BIBLE :D but I thought it was something else.
CG you are Budhist (sp), what do you believe in and where can you find those teaching, do you guys have a "book"...wedsite. pls?
You asked what Buddhist believe. (wrong placed to do this but I will be quick - If there are no objections ) Buddhism is like Christianity it has many, many expressions of belief.
Quickly, I would say that most Buddhist follow the Eight Fold Path and believe in the Four Noble Truths. By the way. Buddhists do not worship Buddha as a God. Most Buddhists don't believe in a God, as most Christians understand the word. I am a Buddhist who does think there is a supreme being, force, etc.but that does not make me an outcast. Buddhists are very reasonable people (by and large)
There are more Buddhist sites on the web than you can count! Just do a search for Buddhism. But try http://home.earthlink.net/~srama/ first.
You said in your post, "You need JESUS, the greatest of them all!" Many years ago, when I was studying Buddhism my teacher, who knew next to nothing about Jesus, ask me if he could read one of the books I had on the life of Christ. He read it in one sitting, some 250 pages. As he handed it back to me he said, "wonderful, wonderful, he (Jesus) would have been the greatest Buddhist of them all - his teachings are so like ours."
I read the Bible, often. It is a lot easier to read than the Buddhist Scriptures! I, as my teacher did, see the Buddha-Nature of the Christ.

Truthseeker 09-18-03, - 05:50 PM Can we all agree that the bible has messages. Some are hidden from our understanding. The stories are not to be taken literally only the messages within the story if you can understand them. So we are arguing concepts here to determine whether they are true and applicable to our present circumstances. We will all see things differently because our brains are different, our education is different perhaps even our understanding of reality is different.

Some of the "stories" aren't stories. They're accounts.
And where's Vicki?
