they were suppose to throw that food away...it may make people sicka dn thats grounds for a lawsuit...why their lawyers arent advising them of this is beyond...why dont you think restaurants and hotel usually throw away their food..because if someone gets sick...who you think the people will sue? anywhere else they would have thrown that food away if the current even went off for a day without electricity...bag it bleach it and throw it away! you cant run the risk of getting people sick...my health is too important to me...throw away that food sans the non-parishable goods...

I think bahamian people like sale too much... The last thing from their mind was smokey smelling items and food possibly damaged from the heat. I just though non food items may have been ok like the cleaning products, certain household items etc. That just goes to show its all about the money... These people dont care that people could actually get sick from the goods.....

Its not like everything in there was infected with anthrax. I would think that the perishable stuff was thrown away. Who here has went to the sale? I would think everything is gone about now....

But we are like Americans now.....we are beginning to shop not because we really want or need stuff. Watch when Thanksgivving comes.....I remember senior year back home a good portion of the school did not show up (me only half day) because everyone was going off to catch the thanksgiving sales. People was even sending other students for stuff. Even Kelly's and Dolly Madison was packed!

actually the smoke was full of chemicals ... so most things there were effected .. even if they are in a can your hands still have to touch that .. i know someone that came out of there sick as a dog and is on medication now ..

they should have been made to chuck it all .. noone should have been let in the store also .. maybe thats why they closed it down (?) ... anwyay so much for enforced health laws .. once again ..

if the food or carton/container in which the food is within, is contaminated or has any form of bacteria on or in it, then yeah that is a health issue and if they are selling that they can be shut down (or at least should be, who knows in Nassau).. its worse than putting lower price tags on stale food such as City Market does all the time... .:hammer:

I hope not! I only bought stuff in cans, jars or non-grocery. I went in there this morning, expecting everything to be back to normal but it still smells of smoke and there are still no perishable items (luckily). I worry about the people working there who have been inhaling this toxic air for two weeks now. Only one was wearing a mask when I went in last week...I feel they should all have had masks and been made to wear them.

Come on, the owner and managers there are too damn cheap and incompetent to organize something like that,
