What the hell is going on with BEC? :hot:
It was at last Thursday (I think) that I left Nassau for a business trip and BEC went of! A island wide blackout! Coming back from the airport today only to find that the current still off! (island wide blackout again) Man I know the cost of gas/oil gone up but this is ridiculous! I past by Marathon Mall only to find that the Intersection all backed up to the light leading from the corner steaming from Old Trail! To make it worst, the damn intersection was a mess, everyone forcing their way in the middle of the street, and nobody could get pass causes cars all in the way. People getting out they cars cussin and carrying on cause they vex with the situation. Man, it's ain't been a week since the last blackout, what's really going on down there? :hot:

BEC is not very popular this summer! They just don't seem to know how to supply uninterrupted electricity! It is their expertise, so I suppose thats why we expect it from them!
I read in the Abaconian that a business owner had gone to BEC after hours of having no power at his business. He was there looking for info on when he could expect electricity. He was told by BEC employees to buy a generator! Now if that isn't ballsy!! And thats not the only consumer that has been told by BEC employees that they should invest in a generator! I supppose they consider this helpful info!!!

maybe it has to do with everyone turning the AC on in the summer and BEC not being able to carry the load...and not be upfront and honest about it...aint nothing wrong with being humble BEC...everyone doesnt have all the answers...and you have to spend money to make money!

also Bahamians not being aware of more conservation efforts to save energy?

Weren't they going thru some type industrial strike last month for a pay increase or something like that? (Union problems) I think they meaning to do this and they using them union talks to justify they go slow, or down right stoppage of power!

Thats exactly it. I dont know why they cant say this. Instead they be retarded and say "I don't know. The equipment just fails every summer." the equipment fails because it cant take the load!
