An unidentified body of a male was found floating in water near Blue Water Cay on Fox Hill Road yesterday around five o'clock in the evening.
According to police authorities, such male appeared to be in his twenties and of Haitian descent. Officials also report that the body was badly decomposed and had been in the water for at least 24 hours. The body was found by a neighbouring swimmer and has not been identified as yet; an investigation is pending.
The search is still on for the identity of the man who was the 27th traffic fatality.
The name of the man who was fatally injured in an accident last week is still unknown, even though it has been a week since he was killed. Police are asking anyone with information on the unknown victim to come forward.
The victim was said to be light brown, between 40 and 50 years of age, with curly salt and pepper hair and a bearded face.
At 7:10 a.m. last Thursday morning, the victim, a pedestrian, was reportedry hit by a Ford F- 150 truck in the Carmichael Road area west of Gladstone Road.
He was taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), where he subsequently died.
At the time of the accident, such victim was wearing a beige pants, a light coloured shirt, white tennis and a baseball cap.
In another traffic fatality incident, Kaylisia Scott, 19, succumbed to her injuries Tuesday night after spending two days at PMH. Such accident occurred Sunday afternoon around 5 p.m., when Ms Scott, a passenger on a trail motorbike, and the driver went to overtake a Mitsubishi Lancer that was turning through another corner. The two vehicles were both travelling east on Bernard and Hill Side park roads.
Ms Scott was a resident of Montell Heights.
