The Bible says in Pslams 129:3.
“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward.”
Jesus said in Mattew 19:14.
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Children indeed are a gift from God and should be treated as such.
There innocence shows clearly a deep reflection of Christ’s nature and design.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:3; “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Christ never had any children but He treated all children that He came in contact with as His own and we all need to do the same.
I wanted to send out my condolences to the family of Ackiem Rolle and everyone who lost a loved one this year due to crime.

Please feel free to post your feelings on this subject.

Here is a little something that I did in PhotoShop.

I'm very sadden by the tragic event that took place involving that innocent lil boy. I really can't c y adults can't respect children for what they r, children. They deserve it and much more.

I just came back from Canada when the i heard the child went missing. I was already upset of the previous kidnappings and senseless killings that had already happen. I was enraged, esp. at the father who had the child in his care. I felt terrible for the mother, knowing that she left her child in the care of someone she thought he'd be safe in, then come to find out a few hours later that he cannot be found. I knew they were hopin for the best but there was a fear, that terrible feelin that he would end up like the rest of the missing persons. That fear came true, even after a while but i know they would have some kind of relief that they found his remains, now they can prosecute the person who is responsible for death of Ackeim.

This is where capital punishment is needed, this is where it should come into full effect. Our country really have to do something bout this.

My condolences to the family. I might not know how u feel right now but, i can imagine someone taking my sister or brother and doing the unspeakable to them and that is a terrible feeling. i got so fed up that i stopped listenig to the news and just stayed in constant prayer for my family, friends and our country.

To Ackeim family, God is our only comfort. Relay on him, he would not let a wrong, sinful, ungodly deed to go unpunished.

i'll continue to pray for u and more than likely the people of our country is praying for you.

Until next time........:(

This is one case that would justify the death penalty. There is no reason for doing what he did to that child. He does not have a defense, and hopefully he doesn't have an attorney. I would volunteer to pull the rope on that one. :hot:

I express my deep sorrow for the bereaved family. I wish them well.

I am sorry for Ackiem's father because he will be tormented for the rest of his life. Surely he must be sick. Unfortunately, if he killed his son, - we are not sure yet, his behaviour is becoming too common. Why are so many childen being killed in the Bahamas, in the world?

It is important to punish the guilty. It is also important to find the root causes of the problems and fix them. We can say without doubt that the causes of these behaviours have their roots in our society. Are they the result of family situations? Are they the results of rampant poverty? Are they the result of a departure from behaviour dictated by the bible? Why does our situation appear so cursed?

Things that used to be wrong are now accepted. People do wrong with impunity and all and sundy accept it and them. There is very little justice in Bahamian society. Evil holds sway over the nation. Everything we attempt seems to crumble before our eyes. The city is decaying. The people are getting dumber and dumber. The leaders do not know what to do. The people are running to and fro.

We need to refocus on where we want to go and clearly determine what we need to do to get there. Every bahamian needs to know how they fit into this society - what their role is and what their future role can be.

All segments of society need inspired leadership now. Immediately we need the scales to fall from our eyes and we need to see and acknowledge when the emperors are wearing no clothes.

May Ackiem rest in peace.

I believe that our country has accepted to much things what the world offers, and we look at it as development, maturing as a country, expanding as a people.

Our country morals are bible based. Once we demoarlize our culture, we instantaneously accept anything that we as humans, leaving God out of it, think will make money to make our country strive.

We allowed our country to get out off hand, an don't say there's nothing we couldn't do, because there's always something that could be, or should be done, don't matter how extreme it may seem.

Look at the things that we accept in this country. Do you think it is affecting the older generation as much, who has been rooted in biblical principals and moral ethics? No, it's mostly affecting the younger generation.

I was extremely hurt, deeply cut when our past government allowed gay ships to enter our shores. That action told us that almost anything is accepted in our country, forget the bible, forget about our moral code of ethics, any thing is welcome in our land. That decision, to allow gays here dispite what the poeple think, really opened up a spiritaul portal that cannot be closed as easy as it was opened. Didn't you see some dramatic changes in our land after that poor decision. I for one did, and me as a young bahamian didn't appreciate that our past government didn't regard the veiws of the church.

Good governece is to protect it's people and safe gaurd it's sovereignty. Instead they forgot the people and protect thier pockets. 'For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows', 1 Tim. 6:10.

There fore to this end, God is our only answer. No matter what any bahamian says, it makes no difference of their religion, i believe that all our people believe that God exsist an that He is the key to all of our problems.

until next time.....

I feel the church should have a say in what the government does. I also feel the church should not get too involved with the governemnt because the church should act as a check on the government.

I believe there is an ongoing effort to seduce the church with money and opportunity. Most churches will fall for it. The golden rule is the man with the gold makes the rules. The government controls the gold.

Let's not forget it was not very long ago when a leading churchman was quoted as saying "principle does not put bread on the table". If the church is to matter, the members must have the faith that "God will provide". You can stick to your principles and bread will be on the table - one way or another. Faith backed by works is the key!

Ackiem's death had nothing to do with homosexuality as far as we know. While we are sad for the circumstances and the family we need to accept that death is waiting for all of us. One day, we don't know when, we will be like Ackiem - dead. Our hope and my belief is that our energies will be better organized then - we will be happy. Let's accept the possibility that Ackiem may be better off. Let's enjoy our lives, our friends, our families, while we still live!
