Did you take him seriously? That was just election talk. (You know how we love to be lied too!) No one can stop the cuts in power - not until they get rid of the union and rebuild the power grid from the ground up. Maybe then the cuts will be less.

Here is some advice, whatever Brad says, he really means the opposite. I noticed this to be fact from his time in office.

Here are a few of his rantings that never came to pass:-

1- Promised back in 2003 that GSM service would be available to all Bahamians in two years. Its 2006, and still only Nassau and bearly Freeport gat it!

2- He bragged about making electricity rates the lowest in history. Yet Im paying three times as much today than I did last year this time.

3- He promised in 2004 that low water pressure in Nassau would be a thing of the pass. And yet Im still showering under a dribble of water!

4- He promised that Bahamasair and BTC would have been privatized by now. Yet they are still cash burdens on the public purse.

5- In July, he promised that the road works on Blue hill and Indepenedce would be completed(after numerous delays already) by the second week in August for sure! Its the third week in August and that thing far from finish.

So don't listen to him, just like his collegues, he does talk to hear himself, sayin" Boi I sound good eh!"

I read in the punch this past week his letter in their (brad) and he said BEC was not a for proft entity in so many words...really! that was an eloquented stated letter till he or his ghostwriter ended with that...what a shame...Ive seen his writing and to be quite honest he doesnt have the skill or polish to come off like that...

2- He bragged about making electricity rates the lowest in history. Yet Im paying three times as much today than I did last year this time.Well the rates did drop, are you saying that he's responsible for oil being $72 per barrel?
3- He promised in 2004 that low water pressure in Nassau would be a thing of the pass. And yet Im still showering under a dribble of water!
I give him a pass on this also,in due time Nassau will have good potable water. My only question is what type maintainence plan they have in place.
4- He promised that Bahamasair and BTC would have been privatized by now. Yet they are still cash burdens on the public purse.BTC is not a burden on the public purse, you better thank God they still have it to derive funds from. Bahamasair now... hehe.
5- In July, he promised that the road works on Blue hill and Indepenedce would be completed(after numerous delays already) by the second week in August for sure! Its the third week in August and that thing far from finish.Well atleast the road works are going forth now,and we the people aint paying a hefty bill for nothing.

Can you ever see pass your undying love for them lousy fellas?

I wasn't implying that Brad had control over the price of oil-telling it what to do or not do(like that poor woman he taking advantage of). Im simply saying that he should not make promises and deadline if he knows in REALITY circumstances can dictate otherwise! Don't say crap just to sound good!

By the way, according to the news this morning, the road works on Blue hill will be "substantially" completed by Sept.4(not completed mind you)! More BS!

In addition to that, he promised C B Moss that he will give him the seat in parliament after 2 1/2 yrs.
The contractors for the road got paid a bonus to finish before time and still not finish. I hear them say they will b finish before school open. To their surprise some schools alrady opened. :duh:
