Putting his case for why the Bahamian people should re-elect him prime minister, Free National Movement Leader Hubert Ingraham on Saturday evening accused the Christie Administration of being a scandal-plagued government made up of "slackers".

Taff. Political parties have such events to test their political machinery. When the PLP and FNM and other parties do these things, its not about revelling in how great they are for the sake of doing so.

Parties have such events to test the temperature of the voting public. For instance, if the FNM or PLP has an event celebrating what they are about and what they have done, and the response is cool - they know they are in trouble, because it means that the people arent feeling what they are and what they have done.

The reverse is also true.

So these events arent about lotioning one's self..its about gauging where people are at. That is why such events, though staged as historic observances, are actually political rallies, with the themed celebration a way to remind people of what you have done without sounding like you are putting them through a history class.

What was wrong with the "celebration"? That wasn't really a celebration. The FNM always does a cook-out every year, they have tender steaks seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper ;)
It just happens that they have a mini rally afterwards, notice I said mini rally because election soon call....Hubert just warming up :D

how deceitful and im still not impressed..they could still be doing a hellof a lot more...I hope there was a voter registration drive that day...;)
