This is disgraceful that the minister of youth Mr "lack of wisdom" went ahead and engaged these young children to work out there in the heat while he sat in his airconditioned office and was unable to pay them. Up to today,these children and adults have have been paid. Something need to be done about this. He knew after talking with his accounts people that there was no money to pay them. I heard he got stoned with chicken, fries, chips and drink in the conference room about a week ago on his birthday. the stuff that was left from the function at the gym that day, they brought there to comfort the children because he knew no money was there for them. Shame on him and he should be made to pay for this. Some students returned back to US to school without their monies.

Serious ting. I recall him standing up in the House of Assembly pledging that nothing untoward would occur with the Ministry of Youth's Summer Employment program. Boy these promises have a half-life of about five minutes.

You know what is so sad about this situation is that the jamaican volley ball team is in the capital courtesy of the Bahamian goverment. Talking about misplace priorities! While many of our kids will leave for school empty handed and have their schools supplies delayed due to the goverment non payment of funds. Go figure!
