I'm glad you put my orginal statement up 'cause as you can assess it was as gentle as it can be, I clearly stated without any derogatory terms like "Yea, those sissies punks betta know dey role, dey betta turn from gayness because their is no audda way" I simply said what Save the Family is all about, we would like marriage to remain between a man and a woman...has nothing to do with homosexuals "turning from their sins" and being straight, has nothing to do about banning gays.

On this forum, many people have their own opinions and beliefs and they express them...you can easily say they are imposing their beliefs on you. But you don't. The only way you can survive if you have a strong self-worth and self-esteem. Your problem is that my belief convicts you so strongly that you feel this pressure of me imposing on you. What I said got under your skin even to the point where your went on another thread to throw jeers and identify me with that negative poster...and that's what made yourself feel better about your beliefs even though it made you look like a coward.

Really what gave you that idea??? I was pointing out the fact that not everyone in the world or in the Bahamas believes in you brand of christianity.

Guess what -- speaking english hasn't turned out so good for black people. Should we stop?? Democracy hasn't turned out so good -- stop that too?? What about capitalism?? What about driving on the left side of the road -- I mean look at how many people die in automobile accidents every year, maybe we should change that...

Get real.

The reason for the country's moral decline is not due to traditional values and definitions. Its due to the fact that people are human and can't live up to an ideal. Democracy is an ideal. Capitalism is an ideal. Christianity is an ideal.

Nobody can live up to them no matter how hard we try. But the reason we keep them is because they are ideals and as humans we try to better ourselves by trying to realize these ideals. The argument against such are flimsy and nihilistic. It doesn't make sense to get rid of ideals or redefine them to a lower more attainable standards. Because the ideals are objective, the lower standards are not.

If we take away the definition of marriage as a union between a man and a woman -- then what do we replace it with?? A union between two human beings?? That ideal will surely fail several tests that I can think of just off hand. The fact of the matter is that we have to stop compromising and allowing people to do as they please simply because they are deviant and valueless.

In case you miss the boat the Bahamian constitution supports Christian values!!! MOST LAWS OF THE BAHAMAS ARE CHRISTIAN BASED!!! So, really you have a problem with the Bahamian constitution....this aint America papi!!!!
