View Full Version : Help Save the Family
Vicky 09-01-06, - 05:19 PM Bey we got plenty Dr.'s of Web Surfin and Copy and Pastin round here for real nah...
They only points of reference that are readily available for all. Its a convenience
Vicky 09-01-06, - 05:21 PM actually the laws shouldnt represent any religion, laws are put in place to protect its citizens ... things like stealing, killing, raping, etc, should be common sense that they are wrong, regardless of any religious views.
The point she is missing is those kind of laws are in just about all religions. They are basics.
WinterGrace 09-01-06, - 05:55 PM You've punched holes in logic??
When??
Where??
Did I mention you burning in hell??
I don't remember calling you sexual predators -- but I assume this is how you punch hole in my logic. By turning me into a beast by lying about what I've said in this thread.
This is what he did to me as well, he made up a sentence I never said and I insisted I wrote it...when I called it out, he said I was arguing semantics :fly: :yoyo:

That's what you can say now in 2006 but in 1804 or whenever they wrote it that was a different context
Ting-um 09-01-06, - 07:14 PM This is what he did to me as well, he made up a sentence I never said and I insisted I wrote it...when I called it out, he said I was arguing semantics :fly: :yoyo:
Yeah, I saw that. That was funny.
Vicky:
1. Vanderbilt -- one bachelor of science, one bachelor of arts. Arkansas State Univ. -- master of arts. University of Arkansas -- PhD (still working on it -- actually just started two weeks ago).
2. The books were written by scientists. Whether they were heterosexual or homosexual is irrelevant. Their sexuality should not make their work more accurate or inaccurate. From this statement alone I can gather that you'll never look at this topic objectively or with any sort of common sense.
WinterGrace 09-01-06, - 07:17 PM Which means in simple terms your religious laws are yours and not mine and can't be forced on me or anyone else. They are not the laws of the Bahamas and never will be.
This chapter is misleading to our debate. This is dealing more or less of which denomination you choose to worship and I am ssuming if you even want to worship. This only explains that The Bahamas does recognize Christainity, however, they will not force you to worship as most do. Unlike some countries were it is mandatory for you to worship a god like Buddha and have no other religion.
This is separate from my point that the laws were constructed from Christain morals. Eg. Marriage between one man and one woman that is Christian based. However, in different countries with different religions polygamy would be fine because it's based on that religion if stated.
That could be it but it does not say Christian Nation. oh but thats only the preamble and it is not not law of any kind.
It does not have to exactly say a Christain Nation, the CONSTITUTION, words it differently.
Take note that it says "DO HEREBY PROCLAIM IN SOLEMN PRAISE the Establishment of a
Free and Democratic Sovereign Nation founded on Spiritual Values" ALSO "guaranteed by a national commitment to Selfdiscipline,
Industry, Loyalty, Unity and an abiding respect for Christian values and
the Rule of Law;" ALSO "recognizing the
Supremacy of God and believing in the Fundamental Rights and Freedoms of the
Individual"
Everything, they wrote here is about God and Nation so obviously if that is on their minds it WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE LAWS OF THE NATION THEY WRITE INTO.
Vicky 09-01-06, - 08:04 PM Yeah, I saw that. That was funny.

Wow thats impressive good for you. But none are medical Biology so how do they qualify you in GLBT issues.
In your books was the study of homosexuality and did the actualy study homosexuals?? Where did they get their information from??
What books do you have on gender identity (as in transgender that is).
Vicky 09-01-06, - 09:04 PM This chapter is misleading to our debate. This is dealing more or less of which denomination you choose to worship Denomination and religion are 2 very different things. Its freedom of religion and freedom from religion. and I am ssuming if you even want to worship. No I don't worship like you do. I don't need to do it in front of others stand up sit down stand up sit down in a building. See if I have sunday go to meeting clothes better than the next. I am in a place of worship anywhere I am. I have a quiet moment and I will pray. here is my prayer. Creator your will be done please give me the wisdom to understand. Last year when I had to send my mom by her self up to Canada because she was in kidney failuer and literly hours of life left in her I had to stay with my Dad his heart was giving out as well. I was damed if I did and damed if I did not so to say (as I am an only child). We talked about it and it was decided that I should stay with my Dad. When the rolled her past the security check point I said the above prayer knowing that might be the last I saw my mother. They both live to this day. Besides there is only one church here in the Bahamas that would openly welcome me. But that to has a lock on the door and the owner has the key. This only explains that The Bahamas does recognize Christainity, I never said that the Bahamas did not recognize Christianity. I said it is not Christian/christian law. however, they will not force you to worship as most do. Unlike some countries were it is mandatory for you to worship a god like Buddha and have no other religion. Please please tell me what country is it mandatory to worship Buddha????There are some countries that force you to live by their religious law and say you may not openly have any other religion. Hey kinda sounds like the save the family group.

bahmaboy 09-01-06, - 09:38 PM looks like i missed an interesting discussion.
that first post made me chuckle. the nuclear family has been blown up a long long long and i mean long time ago. especially in nassau. more father less children, outside children, sweetheartin, and grammy raisin the grand kids going on than u could shake a stick at.
i commend Rex for his efforts but i fail to see the point becuase of his personal views based on a unfounded book he wants to ammend the constitution to his liking.
from what i gather his parents was an interacial couple, there was a period in time when it was illegal for two people of different race to marry, some where killed becuase of jungle fever, even mixed offspring was ridiculed. as we now know it is dumb to think interacial marriage will turn the world upside down and no the world neither society imploded in on itself when it was made legal. the same can be said for same sex marriage.
i just fail to see how a same sex marriage is going to affect his life, the argument that its bad for society and the family dont fly cuase as we know that picture perfect mummy, daddy, and children all under one roof where the kids grow up in an innocent world simply doesn’t exist n e more.
BTW- n e one seen that new ford commercial where the family is driving in the car and they look happy and perfect then they pull in the drive way to let the dad off to his house and he says see yall next week end.
the point is the family structure and the way they live and enteract with each other has changed, some people just need to accept that.

Have a nice evening.
RockWell 09-01-06, - 10:55 PM Bey we got plenty Dr.'s of Web Surfin and Copy and Pastin round here for real nah...
:shhh:
Ting-um 09-01-06, - 11:20 PM Wow. You are stupid.
I know I read slowly when comprehension is important.
Forgot that *YOU* said that you can barely read -- or you can't even read what *YOU* wrote??
I guess you must've gotten your wife to type that??
Next time, ask if she knows what "sarcasm" means.
That's sarcasm with an "S".
WinterGrace 09-02-06, - 12:50 AM I never said that the Bahamas did not recognize Christianity. I said it is not Christian/christian law.
When exactly did I say that Bahamian Law was Christian Law? I said Christianity influenced the Bahamian laws???
Please please tell me what country is it mandatory to worship Buddha????
China is a one. My friend went to China and was advised not to say anything about God or Jesus or she would be targeted as some type of missionary and the government arrested persons who try to convert people from Buddhism.
How is marriage between one man and one woman Christian based. Where does it say that in Bible??
You looking for a point, for something to say because you running out of points, grasping onto to straws, I explained this like 10 pages ago...go look for my comments because I am not repeating what I said, it's not my fault that you don't read properly.
Christian values is very different from Christian laws.
hmmm you are the only one who brought up Christian Laws...I don't know why and I am 120% sure you don't know why yourself.
Oh and please not that is only the preamble it is not the actual laws in the constitution.
Seriously, I think something is wrong in your head if you can't understand the word IMPACT or INFLEUNCE or RECOGNIZES... :sparky: how does that mean the actual thing:sparky: ?
Your agruments is build on confusion, your comebacks are so awkward and off target, if someone debating apples you would throw off the convo with oranges :realmad: WHY DO YOU EVEN POST????
Vicky 09-02-06, - 11:39 AM Wow. You are stupid.

Wow Did you post this format because you
understand dyslexia.
Na can't be thats just a coincidence.
But this is the format that has been discovered
to best help people with the gift of dyslexia.
Yes it is a gift.
Its just that eye to brain wiring is not like most
people.
So just to help you understand if you can.
Text that is on a off white background is best.
Text that is in short columns like in news papers instead of right
across the page is better to follow line to line.
Text like Arial is best.
Sentences that break like a paragraph are clear
and give the dyslexic a break in the text needed
by the brain.
None of the above mean that dyslexic people
are dumb.
It just means we take in and process text
differently than most people. This process
takes more time.
It is believed to be caused by low blood pressure
in the mother.
And this has an effect on brain wiring.
Oh there is that darn brain wiring again.....
