Yes with out any religious content. Bahamasinmyheart 09-06-06, - 11:02 AM *Looks around and thinks to self is this the same person who profess not to comment to Winter again on this thread...looks like he couldn't help himself...still speaks caca though* Seems like the gavel always stirs up some emotion, they can't help themselves :driving: Well actually i was responding to Tru. You see your the clown at the end of the line. *blow the horn winter...blow the horn* But your right..... i does love a good debate  Still hoping that one day soon you'll be able to give me one. Ting-um 09-06-06, - 11:03 AM Yes with out any religious content. Incorrect. A vow is similar to an oath or swear. It is a promise to God. Go to dictionary dot com. The word "vow" has religiosity all over it. This also brings up the side issue of church and state -- as long as perjury is a crime, there can be no separation of church and state. Perjury is lying. Lying is not a crime. Lying is a sin. To punish someone for perjury or breaking a vow -- as in a divorce -- is to punish them for sinning. Vicky 09-06-06, - 11:06 AM Who's not equal?? I know Bahamians who can/are and have been married. And I know Bahamas who by policy can't be married. Thus some Bahamians can have legal marriage and others can't. How would you like to be told who you could and could not marry?? Bahamasinmyheart 09-06-06, - 11:07 AM Very well said :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: The first part is to funny Just a little add in equal human rights is all people being equal no matter what group/class you are in. Equality for all or no one is equal.   (uh oh..... the clown image again.... but at least were on the right side of the fence and our jokes our funnier!!) Ting-um 09-06-06, - 11:09 AM I know Bahamians who can/are and have been married. And I know Bahamas who by policy can't be married. Thus some Bahamians can have legal marriage and others can't. How would you like to be told who you could and could not marry?? I wouldn't care. And everyone can marry. As long as you are a man or woman -- you can marry. You may not be able to marry another man or another woman -- but that's not the same as saying that you can't marry. WinterGrace 09-06-06, - 11:17 AM Well actually i was responding to Tru. You see your the clown at the end of the line. *blow the horn winter...blow the horn* But your right..... i does love a good debate  Still hoping that one day soon you'll be able to give me one. Which ever way you want to throw it you added me in your shamble post. The only clown I see is a boy dressed as a man trying to convince himself that if others don't accept his lifestyle they are bigots like the KKK...and it doesn't matter how he proves it...he would state altered sentences and claim that person wrote it...is that what they taught you in law school...you would make a good lawyer :liar: Ting-um 09-06-06, - 11:22 AM ^^Can you help me?? I'm trying to figure out who the law is discriminating against. I don't think Vicky knows. Vicky 09-06-06, - 11:24 AM Incorrect. A vow is similar to an oath or swear. It is a promise to God. Go to dictionary dot com. The word "vow" has religiosity all over it. Ok I looked it up to get the exact definetion. I should have remembered that you play with words and definitions. So for you and your need for exact definations. We made a promise at our wedding. We have a marriage licence we were actualy going through old papers this past week and we found the gov recipte $20.00. My wife teases me and says you got me cheap. I said But the cost of maintanance is not.:cutie: :cutie: This also brings up the side issue of church and state -- as long as perjury is a crime, there can be no separation of church and state. Perjury is lying. Lying is not a crime. Lying is a sin. To punish someone for perjury or breaking a vow -- as in a divorce -- is to punish them for sinning. That is why when I went to court I affirmed. So what would you call it if I lied in court. Please try again WinterGrace 09-06-06, - 11:25 AM    (uh oh..... the clown image again.... but at least were on the right side of the fence and our jokes our funnier!!) LOLOL You have a clown's image in your head, you who "jump across the fence" with a man dress up as a woman but yet when you look across the fence your mind depicts altered images but yet you standing right next to one...how ironic LOLOLOL :dancer2: Vicky 09-06-06, - 11:30 AM I wouldn't care. And everyone can marry. As long as you are a man or woman -- you can marry. You may not be able to marry another man or another woman -- but that's not the same as saying that you can't marry. Ok lets put it this way. There are some Bahamians who can marry who they want and ther are some Bahamians who can't marry who they want. Thats in equality. Ting-um 09-06-06, - 11:31 AM Ok I looked it up to get the exact definetion. I should have remembered that you play with words and definitions. So for you and your need for exact definations. I said But the cost of maintanance is not.:cutie: :cutie: That is why when I went to court I affirmed. So what would you call it if I lied in court. Please try again 1. A promise is no different. 2. If you lie in court it is called perjury. If you lie to the state in any way it is called perjury. Vicky 09-06-06, - 11:37 AM Winter I just noticed your signature. "Its not about being right"!?!?!?!? It's not about being right, it's about educating your mind, listen and learn from others older and wiser. What a joke.. Ting-um 09-06-06, - 11:40 AM Ok lets put it this way. There are some Bahamians who can marry who they want and ther are some Bahamians who can't marry who they want. Thats in equality. No its not. There are some Bahamians that want to marry their sister. There are some that want to marry their pet goat. The law doesn't allow people to do what they want. Whether they are heterosexual or not. The law defines what is legal and what is not legal. Marriage between a man and a woman is legal. Marriage between a man and man is not legal. You don't have to be heterosexual in order to marry. Only a male marrying a female. So again, how are you unequal?? |
