Can someone please tell me why research in stem cells is not accepted?

Some stem cell research invloves using embryos, which ususally ends in teir destruction...which some people consider murder.

I know a lab in Freeport is/was doing some stem cell.

Anyway I do support stem cell research. The medical community seems to be on the verge of incredible breakthroughs....things that will make cirtain opperations obselete.

Well you will find a mix of people on BI. Some may find you cool while some may find you tottaly insane. Its just a matter of observing the good with the bad. After all this is the hub of issues.....national issues....and personal issues.

You are half right, they "possibly" have found a way to perform stem cell research, without destroying the embryo. And even that is techinaly misleading, because, they have "theorized" a possible way it can be done, but it is not proven, and THAT would constitute embryonic stem cell research in itself, because they would have to do research to find that out.

Why do the liberal left wingers think conservative people are dumb bible thumping lame brains?

Whether you do research on an embryo for direct medical purposes, or you do research on an embryo to find out that an embryo can be used effectively, still constitututes it as embryonic stem cell research.

Anyway, either way I think it is an important crucial step. It will just have to continue with financial support from other entities.
