At the 11 a.m advisory the Northwest Bahamas which includes Grand Bahama, Bimini and Andros are under a hurricane watch. Conditions are expected to deteriorate within the next 36 hours. Ernesto is presently over Cuba and is experiencing some shearing. Meteorological officials expect some strenghtening once the storm leaves eastern Cuba.

Ernesto is on the move, stay tuned to the radio and t.v, sadly Z.N.S is not yet giving the story too much attention. Some Florida stations are predicting a last minute turn toward the northeast which puts Grand Bahama and Bimini in harms way. I live in Grand Bahama and is presently glued to my t.v. The good thing is that the storm is expected to be out of our way by Wednesday.

yeh the foodstore was beginning to get pretty crowded when I was out around 2pm..I wanted to beat the 5pm rush, because water was already selling out.

I remember what we went through after Frances, standing in lines for hours and hours in the hot sun for 1 bag of ice, or fighting through throngs and throngs of people for a bottle of water - NEVER AGAIN IF I CAN AVOID IT!
