View Full Version : The swing vote
canewry 08-30-06, - 11:17 AM Do any of you venture by the Mall at Marathon during the week days around 11am to 1pm... The Mall does be full of white Bahamians registering to vote. I mean on Monday there was a line of about 16 white Bahamians and only white Bahamians, registering...I was looking for Rory, Vickey, Gully, CG and dem...but I assume they already registered...

thetimeisnow 08-30-06, - 12:44 PM You shouldn't be so surprised. 15% of The Bahamas is white, and you can bet they show up to vote.
People vote with their self interests in mind. Some white people will vote for the PLP. This may be surprising to some, but the reality is - you don't really know who voted for who on the day.

15% is white...where do you get your statistics...
what about those black conchie joes who go as white...
Its because of them now that government do not take statistics regarding race in the Bahamas...no one knows who are black or white any more...

ah being a colour is an american concept...
however, them long island red, and black conchie joes refuse to be just black...why because they don't look black....they white with a dark dark tan. I aint mad at them...however, they were able to influence the government enough to not take race statistics...we have no idea how many white Bahamians there are in the Bahamas...we just guess...

there is always a way and race/colour is not simply an American concept...who do these people identify with? nevermind, I dont even wanna know...
