Does the Bahamas need a new Commissioner of Police? This question begs asking every so often.

Is the police force being managed properly? Are the police adequately protecting us? Do the police respond when we call? Do the police have adequate patrols to prevent crimes? Do the police follow though with their crime prevention programmes? What happened to zero tolerance? Worse, are the police corrupt?

Are younger, smarter police officers rising to the top? Or are the old dumber police officers still in control? Do the police know and respect the law?

What is the average response rate for a call to the police? Are women dealt with the same way men are dealt with by the police? Is sexual discrimination a reality on the police force? Is sexuality a real issue for the police?

There are many concerns with the police force which we need to explore.The police need our support and respect but respect is earned. The police muct act in a way that will engender confidence. Do you have confidence in the police?
