I saw that this morning. Killed by a Stingray!!!!! I thought a snake or a crocodile would get him, but a Stingray???
I wonder why people put their lives at risk like he did? For what? It seem like a waste of life to me. Life is to precious to throw away messing with beast that want to kill you. :dgi:

Yeah I would have never thought a Stingray woulda gotten him. Plus he has two little ones and now he is dead. I did admire the guy's love for nature and animals, conservation etc. He was all about awareness of these issues man.

Naw, taunting death is what Siegfried and Roy did on stage: rap a carnivore on the snout for years, you build up a lot of karma towards getting munched on. Croc. Hunter may have gotten close to many animals, but that's because he was a passionate animal lover (in contrast to being a media whore stage act) and truly wanted to expose knowledge of natural life to use urban shut ins.

Kinda harsh. You talk as though he deserved it. We all taunt death some way or another, his was just alot more dramatic, and in the end death won, but it always does sooner or later.

I think in his last quest he underestimated the fury and unpredictability of wild animals, especially when in close contact with humans.

I enjoyed watching the croc shows, he really was into animals, he had a sincere love for them, they said that it's rare for the barb of a stingray to kill anyone...I know his wife feeling that...my prayers to the family.

I don't think any sane person taunts death deliberately.

He did.

And I don't call wrestling crocodiles a passion for nature or a love for animals. I call it psychotic. Or dangling pieces of meat in front of hungry crocodile is not a passion or respect for the animal. That is deliberate and malicious taunting.

A love or respect for animal life would ensure that they remained in their natural habitat undisturbed.
