You may win the first couple of battles (in theory).... its even fathomable that you'll win the war (metaphorically) for many more years. But there is no argument out there that can make an argument for hate, prejudice or unequal treatment of other people based on personal biases a winnable argument …………..even if you think your god told you to………… in fact the god told me to kind usually end up being the most outrageous examples of ignorant hate.……. You were going to lose this debate before you even opened your mouth. Where in the history of mankind has reason and wisdom ever found that the prejudices exhibited by a certain people at a certain time were eventually concluded to have been morally and ethical grounded in solid reason? Its not winnable. Vicky 09-08-06, - 09:52 PM Whatever, timeline it is in, my whole point is that it's a challegne for you and your family. It's stressful plain and simple, whether the society accepts you or not. Whether it was a slow change or sudden change. Dynamics of a changing family will always be the same because we are all humans. Ok cool you know my family and I better than we do. adidasboi987 09-09-06, - 07:30 AM This story demonstrates how easily children learn prejudices from the adults around them. While a clever pun, this story ends with a demonstration of how well this little girl has learned to hate. Sad. A father watched his young daughter playing in the garden. He smiled as he reflected on how sweet and pure his little girl was. He thought about her seeing the wonders of nature through such innocent eyes. Suddenly she just stopped and stared at the ground. He went over to her to see what work of God had captured her attention He noticed she was looking at two spiders mating. "Daddy, what are those two spiders doing?" she asked. "They're mating," her father replied. "What do you call the spider on top?" she asked. "That's a Daddy Longlegs," her father answered. "So, the other one is a Mommy Longlegs?" the little girl asked. As his heart soared with the joy of such a cute and innocent question, he replied "No dear. Both of them are Daddy Longlegs." The little girl, looking a little puzzled, thought for a moment, then took her foot and stomped them flat and said, "Well, we're not having any of that Brokeback-Mountain **** in our garden." canewry 09-09-06, - 07:38 AM This story demonstrates how easily children learn prejudices from the adults around them. I don't think you even knew people like me existed until you got on BI. Its not that nobody knew. Its that nobody cared. They care now because you want them to. WinterGrace 09-10-06, - 01:17 PM No it seems its you who will never get it. I don't think you even knew people like me existed until you got on BI. You are so lost. It's not about you and your identity problems It's about a basic human response, it's natural, however, you so defensive about your choices, you believe everyone is out to get you...that says alot about your comfort level....
