Has anyone heard of the new community off JFK drive called Victoria Gardens. It's a nice area only 2 mins off JFK on Gladestone Rd. The homes and dulplexes are going up fast, the land is reasonable like $45-55K and people seem to be putting money in the buildings itself making the community valuable to some sense. My only concern is the DUMP SITE 30miles on a hill :what: :what:

It's an eyesore :what: Also, depending on the way the wind blows you can smell the foul air :what: Can the government build a wall to obscure Nassau's trash heap and don't they have chemicals to hide the stench?

Idont know if they can safely put chemical on a landfill that already ignites itself.

It's about standard size 60X100, Nassau is too expensive, Family Island is a better deal but I notice they sharply increasing the prices there as well.

I have a friend has a house in there. She says when they bought the property they were assured that the dump was further away, however when the development started and the bush cleared down the dump was right there in they face.:what:
Additionally, she says that when you cant smell the dump and when it rains you can smell the chickens that were grown there. It was gladstone farms property you know....

I was with my friend when she was bought a piece, when I asked what's that over the hill, the realtor started to stumble ova her words, so I was like "is that the dump?" and she was like "wait, lemme get my bearings" :shaky: :shaky:
Eventually she admitted that it maybe the dump...after I made a million suggestions that it was. Really and truly the community is looking nice I was not sure at first but it coming together...something needs to be done about that eyesore though...couple tall trees, a tall wall??
As for the Gladstone Farm...it makes for fertile grounds eh???
